Well, I love Stover...but...the title of the book and its setting seem kinda lame...please tell me we're not recycling the GCW times and just after with more pseudo Imps...

I was a little skeptical when I first heard about this book but I have great faith in Stover so I'll keep my mind open about it.

Could be good... The ROTS novelization felt rushed, but I like his other works.

On the contrary, I loved RotS. Why did it seem rushed?

The rising action overshadowed the climax. The pace dramatically shifts in the third act when it picks up dramatically. Important scenes such as Order Sixty-Six and Battle of the Heroes are reduced to mere paragraphs when the Dooku duel was almost blow to blow description. The climax overshadowing is nowhere near the level of The Stand (anyone who has read it will understand), it makes for an unsatisfying read. Also an epilogue to foil the prologue would have given more balance to the novel. Basically an editor was needed to even out the novel (although almost all recent EU novels needed a stronger editor due to the constant fat).

Rejoicing. :innocent:
Stover writing another Star Wars novel = Best news in a long time. The title seems a bit campy, but I can live with it. I'm really curious how Stover will do with writing about Mandalorians in the novel.

30 December is the date given on the Amazon page. If you can't trust Amazon, who can you trust?

I'm really looking forward to this one! It looks to be a classic swashbuckling adventure.

Me, too! Ever since I heard it was in the Rebellion/New Republic Era I've been drooling at the mouth for it. Than I practically had a heart-attack when I heard Matthew Stover was doing it!
It's going to be so good to return to this period in the timeline!
