My wife and my best buddy's wife both gave us tickets to see this guy when he comes through at the end of the month. I am wondering if anyone has seen him live before?

I guess he performed at C3? Just wondering what people thought... looks kind of fun.

I didn't see his show, just a bit he did at the opening ceremonies. You'll love him!

I'm not sure if it is the same show but there was a guy touring England last year doing a similar show. I bought a ticket and was going to go with a few mates, but something important came up and I was unable to go. :( The guys who went really enjoyed it though. They are 'armchair' fans i.e. they have watched the films loads of times but do not collect or read EU.

Well, if he's obsessed with Star Wars then he should put on a pretty good show.

And JMH, I don't know if I agree with your definition of armchair fans. :scratchchin:

^ Oh, it was only a play on words - they watch the films in their armchairs! I wasn't trying to pigeonhole anyone or say anyone is less of a fan as they do this or that or whatever. I was just pointing out that the crew that saw the show have only seen the films and so don't delve into it any deeper than that, normally.

I saw the end of it at C3 (the Battle of Endor/Death Star stuff) and it is really funny! I'm hoping he'll be back at C4 so I can see the whole thing.

Well, I go see him tomorrow night, so I'll let you guys know how it went. I guess he does the Lord of the Rings trilogy too, that seems kind of funny. Though if you saw Clerks II, you already saw a one man LOTR, lol. The video excerpts posted on his site look pretty funny, I'm looking forward to it!

This was a great time... it's just an hour show, but he manages to hit all the high notes of all three films, from the dialogue, effects, and music, all in hilarious fast-paced fashion. It was a really creative take on the films and it was a fun time filled with lots of fun little ad-libs thrown in for good measure.

Really funny moment (among so many) was as he is closing the first film, he's reenacting the award ceremony at the end and gets the medal for Han... winks... gets the medal for Luke... smiles goofily... as Chewie starts to lean forward, then in dismay, throws his arms out like "What the?" because... as we all know... no medal for Chewie. He does the Chewie moan and then kicks at the floor frustrated... ROTFL...

Also hilarious, everytime he portrays one of the Imperial dudes Vader talks to, he uses his hands to suggest that he's pissing his pants.

When he does Luke, he nails the tone, lol... too much fun. Really a great time, and I almost wish I had tickets for one of the other shows he's doing before he leaves town.

This guy was at CE and the show was absolutely hilarious - he played on little bits of the film that I had noticed, like the bit where Yoda seems to get taller when he says "No, there is another".

That would be a long show for him and he'd have to change the name to One Man Star Wars Saga.

^ True, he could do 2 separate shows though. He was absolutely awesome!
