View Full Version : The Unofficial Clone Wars Site

This is a relativly new site. Unlike Jedinet.com and other websites mine is clone wars specific. I have a timeline of all announced clone wars materials as well as a battles section with a summary of what happened in the released materials. I even have a list of all Jedi of the clone wars.
This is a fan project. Several people-including your very own O-B-GATES have contributed summaries already.
What I am looking for right now is a good artist. I have on each battles page a sort of makeshift banner. The problem is I don't have the know how or the tools to make anything professional so my banner things leave something to be desired. If you are good at making banners speak up.
I always love feedback so check it all out and tell me what you think:

Those of you who checked out my site have probably seen my Jedi list, right?
Well as O-B-GATES suggested in an e-mail, why not make a list of all characters in the clone wars whether they're a Jedi, a Dark Jedi, a Bounty Hunter, or just an accountant.
If you want to help make the list either e-mail me at:
clonewarseu@yahoo.com
or
Post your additions here.
Be sure to include affiliation and title i.e. Durge-Bounty Hunter for the Confederacy.
Thank you.

Check out the reformatted JEDI LIST here:
http://www.geocities.com/clonewarseu/jedi
Please answer some questions.
1) Is it easier or harder to understand now that I've reformatted it with color coding?
2)Is there anyone I should add to the list or change the color/category of?
3)I'm considering making similar lists for DARK JEDI, BOUNTY HUNTERS, REPUBLIC PERSONEL, CONFEDERACY PERSONEL, etc. How many of you would be willing to help with this?

I still think you should put Vergere on the list. She's alive, but in another Galaxy...
Also, I got some summaries of battles that were reported in HoloNet news in Star Wars Insider. Where they go in the timeline...I do not know.

She has nothing to do with the clone wars and the clone wars have nothing to do with her. Why should she be in there?

Are you talking about the battle of Bassadro? The one with Empajatayos Brand. If so then it's in the same month as the Pengalan Tradeoff. If you want to send me a summary of it it would make a nice addition to that month.

Yes, I am. I mailed you the stories from HoloNet of the Battle of Bassadro and the Battle of Balamak.
I also sent you an e-mail I got from Phil Simon at Dark Horse Comics.
About Vergere: I was just thinking you had Jedi that were alive during the Clone Wars. And she was around when Palpy got elected Supreme Chancellor. No biggie, really.

Time for me to fill you on on updates to The Clone Wars Unofficial Site again:
Valin Kenobi's summaries of Mace Windu are up. Note "summaries" plural since it relates 3 distinct battles.
The Characters section now has lists for Jedi, Dark Jedi, and Bounty Hunters. Let me know if I'm missing someone. I still would like lists for Republic Personel, Confederacy Personel, and Independant/Nuetrel Personel. Then every CW character will be placed in one of those 6 categories. Please help with these lists.
I still haven't written a summary of Attack on Kamino. Maybe I dion't have time, or maybe I'm lazy. I will get around to it eventually but if someone is really dying to contribute to my site...
I did summarize Boba Fett 3:Maze of Deception. And I'm working on a short Yoda fanfic, though it's still in the idea stage nothing on paper yet, which I might make a Clone Wars fanfic section in my site for...
That's it for now. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif
That's sweet how you can use different colors here!

I mentioned this to O-B-Gates a while back. There's an incorrect placement on the timeline there for the occupation of Aargau that causes an incorrect placement for BF:MoD. The occupation starts one month earlier than is listed, and BF:MoD should be almost consecutive with the previous book.
Brian

Hey they aren't lookin' at the timeline, they're lookin' at the layout....right? :look:
clonewarseu
05-06-2003, 01:48 PM
The timeline in BF: MOD says that it is 1.5 month after AOTC. Using the holonet dating system that puts in the beginning of Month 2 after AOTC or 13:7. The exact HNN date would be 13:7:7.
If this contradicts something let me know. That's just what the timeline in the back of the book says.
clonewarseu
05-06-2003, 01:54 PM
Since The Battle of Raxus Prime took place around 13:6:14-at the latest-it must be assumed that the journey from Raxus Prime to Bespin and the Journey from Bespin to Aargau combined took about 3 weeks. Either that or the battle of Raxus Prime took place even later.
Nathan Butler
05-06-2003, 05:28 PM
Crossfire is one month after AOTC, making it take place in the month 13:6.
on 14:2:14, RHNN reports that Republic forces are still on Aargau, where they have been for 8 months. If they were using a 10-month calendar, which they weren't, that'd put the occupation at before AOTC. They were using a 12-month calendar, though, putting it in mid-to-late 13:6. That fits, using their usual approximations, with MOD being 1.5 months after Geonosis, as 1.5 months after Geonosis is just at the end of 13:6, which then also fits in with the RHNN article.
Brian

I love a good debate.
Is it really that serious? I mean we're talking a few days here. Like 2 weeks.

http://www.starwarz.com/clonewarseu/info/f...qs.htm#timeline (http://www.starwarz.com/clonewarseu/info/faqs.htm#timeline)
That's our official stance on the timeline placement. It's really not a big deal. We just do things differently. It's not like we are competing or anything...

Nathan,
According to that issue of HoloNet News the actuall occupation of Aargau began on 13:6:14. However, that doesn't mean that Boba Fett and Aurra Sing arrived that same day. IMO the HNN article does not contradict MOD being placed at 14:7:7 since they could easily have arrived 3 weeks after the occupation began.
clonewarseu
05-07-2003, 12:02 AM
Seems clear to me that:
a)The Occupation of Aargau began on 13:6:14
b)Boba and Aurra arrived there on 13:7:7
...So Maze of Deception's placement is correct. However, perhaps we should make a note in the battles page explaining that The Republic Troops arrived on Aargau 3 weeks before MOD.

That still puts a near-month-long lag between the two Fett books, unless you're REALLY stretching the timing of events in the books.
When I get time to mess with the SWT-G again, I'll fill in some blanks.
clonewarseu
05-07-2003, 09:02 AM
As for the time between books remember that Crossfire spanned a more lengthy time period than some of the others. After the battle of Raxus Prime Boba had some adventures on the Republic Assault ship before they finally arrived at Bespin. Then him and Aurra ran into trouble escaping Bespin. Then they still had to travel to Aargau. It still would seem like a little bit too much time elapsed. I didn't think hyperjumps took all that long. Maybe there were a lot of litttle stops on the way that just weren't mentioned.

Hey, I've been posting over on the TF.N boards for nearly a year now, and most of the people there aren't so bad. Some of them have large ego problems though, and their Lit Forum regulars are often downright rude. I've been flamed several times there, but avoiding those its also a big help.

Some of the people at TF.N get on my nerves, especially when the pay no attention to your actuall thread but just come in and start telling you what you spelled wrong. I admit I'm not the best speller and it's nice for people to point out my mistakes but...that is all they do. When they're done pointing out your spelling errors they leave the thread.
I tried to post a thread at TF.N for TCWUS and guess what...
It seemed that no one even looked at it. A couple people pointed out spelling errors...someone said I should take it to the fan sites forum (where you post a couple lines about your site in a thread no one visits) and then it was locked.
