What color is Mara Jade's lightsaber?

ok for my brothers birdthday party we're doing a heroes an villains theme, im going as either Anakin or darth maul i have fx lightsabers to do both, my girlfriend is thinking of doing mara jade (on my suggestion) as she doesnt really know what else to go as.

My question is what colour is mara jades lightsaber in some imagery its purple in others its green, i cant remember myself and dont know which book its mentioned in.

Well I think Mara has used alot of different Lightsabers, and she did use a purple one before joining Luke's side. But after the whole deal with the Luuke clone I think Luke gave Mara his old Lightsaber (the blue one that belonged to Anakin) and that one is the one she chose to stick with.

In what book did he recover it?

It didn't happen IN a book, but in the Thrawn Trilogy the clone Luuke was made from the hand that Luke lost at Bespin, and the Lightsaber was recovered alongwith the hand.

Who doesn't know for sure?
It was purple, then changed to blue.
Altho on occasions the need for other sabers has arisen.

Mara used Luke's old lightsaber for a long time (the one Obi-Wan gave Luke which belonged to Anakin). Almost all the EU books describe her lightsaber blade as blue.
I'm not sure where the purple comes from, but would be interested to know?

The purple was the one she used before she got the blue one from Luke. Meaning during the time working for the Emperor.
