Well...Whitesaber has a pub and everyone has answer and advice threads...so I thought I'd start a recipe thread. You can tell I'm bored, can't you?

But I do love cooking...one of these days I will successfully remember to switch off the stove when I'm finished and not destroy another pot, prompting my mother to scream blue murder at me.

So post your food people! *Scurries off to find recipes to post*

Pre-heat oven 450 degrees
Throw in Tyson chicken (GOOD chicken!)
Cook for 20 minutes

If one might want to get fancy for this, he/she can throw in fries afterward, as an added treat. But let us not over acheive.

Or... there is the definate American way:

Hop in car
Go to Arbies/ McDonalds/ Burger King
Buy food
Return home. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

No one is serious these days. -_-

Brown some chicken strips on stove.
Throw in powdered sauce mix.
Add water.
Simmer until the chicken is dead.

Take a bowl and throw in powedered mash potato mix.
Add water.
Stir.

Serve with dead chicken.

And that is how you make Chicken Mate and Smash. (What I'll be living on if and when I get out of the house).

This is one of my favorite things. Swiss Chicken. Get a baking pan (or other dish that can go in the oven) and slave chicken strips in the bottom. then place Swiss cheese on top of each piece of chicken. then pour a can of cream of chicken soup over it all and sprinkle croutons or stuffing cubes over it. put it in a 400degree F over for about 10 or 12 minutes and voila. the temp. and time may vary seeing as how my oven is really old and doesn't work too well.

How might one go about cooking that? I've tried oven preheated to 500 degrees, but it just wasn't working. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

You need a grill, some charcoal and if your parents let you. A lighter, matches or anything that cause some friction and turns to heat and makes a fire.

Take some coacoa pebbles, aluminum foil grill for 15 minutes and add any spices you want. And I 've heard ritz crackers goes good with it also.

Gee, and here I was thinking this would be a serious recipe thread. ??? style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hehe.gif
Oh, well. Here's my contribution anyway:

Marco Pollo Spaghetti

Green Onion, chopped
Black Olives, sliced
canned Tuna
Swiss Cheese, grated
Cashews, whole or in pieces
Parsley flakes
Spaghetti noodles
Olive Oil
(the amount required for each ingredient is variable on how much you want to make - and how much you like that particular ingredient, I guess. Really easy to make for just one person, though a can of tuna usually works best for three to four people.)

Mix all the ingredients except the noodles and olive oil in a bowl. Cook the noodles until they are tender and drain. Rinse in cold water to cool them off. Add a small amount of olive oil (aprox 1 tsp) to noodles. Toss noodles with the tuna mix, serve and enjoy!

Luvinna looks like that will be good. I just hope it is as good as my grilled coacoa pebbles.

I will try your recipie.

And speaking of weird things to do with cereal (no offence, Javen style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif ), there is something neat I heard from someone who came to speak about living during World War II. When the sugar was rationed they put syrup on their cereal. Sound weird and somewhat gross, but so it es cargot (sp?). I tried it and it's definately not something I'd have every morning (too sweet), but it's really not a bad treat.

I don't know how many of you used to read the Little House on the Prarrie books, or watched the TV show, but I used to love them.

Anyway, I rember that in the first one, when they were talking about the butchering of the pig, their dad would save it's tail till after they were done with the rest of the meat.

After they were all done, he'd give the tail to the two little girls, and they'd roast it over the fire. Then they'd take turns nibbling off all the meat till it was nothing but bone.

Another thing they did with the pig, was their dad would save the bladder of it. He'd put it out into the sun to dry, then he'd blow into it, making it a play ball.

The pig that today usually goes to waste, (intestines, organs, and misc. guts) they'd give it to their mom. She's take it, mash it up, and add cheese. Then baked it, and made headcheese!!!
I've never had it, but once my cousin did, and then she threw up.

Man, I must be really bored.
