500 ABY: Mandalorian

Over looking the city of Keldabe, Mandalore the Devious stood upon the balcony of his palace, one built before the time of the New Era. The palace still bared the scars of previous Mandalorian battles, as to remind the Mandalorian People the price they paid in all those battles.

In front of the Palace watched by millions of Mandalorian Civilians on the streets and on the Mandalorian Holonet, which spreads across the Empire, was the Military display that takes place every year since the reformation of the Empire into a new democratic Mandalorian Empire. Upon the streets were thousands upon thousands of Mandalorian Legionnaires, proudly marching in fully battle armour, saluting there leader and honouring the Mandalorian people.

Mandalore had finally reunited the Empire and had brought about a new era to the Mandalorians, although there was still opposition and problems for the Empire and the possibility of hostilities from the Republic. Deep in his mind he knew that there biggest problem had been taken care of, for now but still needed to be watched and made sure they do not return until the Mandalorians are strong enough, the Jedi.

Keelos marched a pace in front of his squad. All of which looked at and saluted their glorous leader on top of the battle scarred palace. Seeing the Mandalorian Empire rise from ruin, gives Keelos pride in his leaders. He along with his squad was ready to take over the rest of the galaxy under mandalorian rule.
Due for some R&R, the squad marched with heightend enthusism. Keelos wanted nothing more than to skip the R&R and go straight to the awaiting training, knowing the battles that lay ahead would test their cohesion with one another as a unit.

Marching through the streets, just passing by the palace was Dake Chan, a Mandalorian Mantha Pilot along with his squadron the Black Knights. He was not too happy at marching through the streets of Keldabe, as he believed this was the time the Mandalorian enemies would make a move on the already weakened Mandalorian forces.

He had a lot of respect for his leader, but he doubted his final goal for the Mandalorians as there was word spreading through the ranks about that they could be doing deals with the Hapans and possible the Hutt's. This he despised, the only dealing he would do with those, would be through the gun sights on his Mantha.

Waiting at the end of the march route with his squad Keelos waited on the dismissed order. While he waited he began to think of his visit home.
He looked forward to seeing his sister along with her two sons. He was proud of his sister, she had found a good husband who sired two good boys ready to fight for Mandalore. He did not look forward to seeing his cowardly parents who did nothing to help the mandalorians rebuild their empire. If anything they provided motivation for him to work harder.
Interupting his train of thought, the newest man in his squad started to babble on about what he was going to do on his break. "Can it Kraw, this ain't the place to talk."
"Yes sir"

As the parade ended Mandalore the Devious, addressed his people from the balcony of his palace, during his speeches to his people he always can across with an aggressive nature. He had been apart of the last war that tore this galaxy apart and wanted to unite the galaxy under the Mandalorian flag, his flag. He was already half way there now that the Jedi had been exiled from the Republic and into unknown space.

"My Fellow Mandalorians" he began, "Today is monuments day for our people, not only are we beginning to expand our borders. Also we are starting to have talks with the Hapan Consortium, who may be joining our Empire soon bringing more worlds and financial backing. So soon our people shall once again be the supreme power within this Galaxy"

The speech began to drone off as Dake and the rest of the Black Knights boarded a transport, as their unit was being put on active duty. They are to fly constant combat patrols of the Mandalorian Border and what current is known as the Neutral zone, an area between the Mandalorian Borders and the Republic Borders.

As they were dismissed Keelos and could hear Mandalore the Devious start his speech. Before he let his squad leave Keelos said " Go home and relax and enjoy the break, because when we get back i will work you until there is nothing left of your formers selves, now git'!"
"Sir yes Sir" They all shouted in unision, before running of to board various transports home.After changing out of battle armor in to his dress uniform, Keelos walked to the near by bus station. When the bus came he got on and sat next to an elderly man. The man started to talk of his military explots.
When his stop came Keelos thanked the man for the converstion and exited the bus.

As Dake took his seat on the transport, he pondered over his pending duty. Where they going there to provoke someone or just to send a clear message to the galaxy that the Mandalorians have an active and able military force? He wondered if his squadron were thinking of the same, or was it just him.

The transport was heading to an Inferno-class Light Cruiser named Conqueror, designed for patrol and fleet support roles this small but well armed cruiser was surely a match for any capital ship of its type, well that's what was to believed anyway as they had yet to see any combat.

"Five Minutes" said the pilot of the transport, to Dake and the rest of the squadron as they approached the Conqueror.

Since Dake became the Black Knight's commander, all they have seemed to do is fly Combat Patrols, which the most action they see is identifying the occasional transports and other such non-combatant vessels. There was a sense of uneasiness amongst the squadron as the boarded the Conqueror and headed to their quarters for some rest as they entered hyperspace bound the edge of the Mandalorian borders, to relieve another Mandalorian cruiser of their duties.

Dake on the other hand did not head towards his quarters but to the bridge to report to the Conqueror's Captain, a Commodore known as Willard Ordo. He was known through out the Mandalorian Navy as being a bit of a tyrant when it came to his command, although it is said that he is a very good family man. Dake hated him for the past few years Commodore Ordo has been his superior officer.

"Commodore" Dake said with a quick salute, "Captain Chan reporting for duty"

"Ah... I trust the military parade went well then? We are to relieve our sister ship, Conquest, apparently from their reports there has been a Hutt Cruiser sitting just off our boarders. It has made no attempt to contact the Conquest or signified any hostile action. It maybe that they are just damaged and are undergoing repairs, or they could be making really obvious reconnaissance, either way we are to keep watch of them" replied the Commodore as he stood staring out of the bridge window, "Your dismissed, Captain"

Dake smiled to himself, as he headed of the bridge as there might be a chance of some action for his squadron. The Hutt had also had reacquired their old Empire, under the backing of the Republic, which quite baffled many of the Mandalorians as it was they helped the Republic during the last Galactic conflict not the Hutt's. But it would seem the Hutt's promised their allegiance and financial backing to the Republic much to what they wanted from the Hapan Consortium.

Kastor gave a loud shout giving his squad The Red Fist some more drills to run before they hit the simulation room, pondering to himself what simulation it was going to be this time. Then crackling on the comm came the orders to head over to the simulation training, signaling his squad they made they're way to the building.

As they made they're way into the simulation chamber the all too fimiliar droid voice came onto the comm, "Simulation starting in Three, Two, One.."

And with the final second came a chilling breeze of air, Kastor looked around to see an arctic blizzard all around them. The frost starting to cover his visor he yelled to the squad, "Everybody down!"

Just as his squad hit the ground the droids in the training starting blasting in they're direction, hard to see where the blasts were coming from Kastor told everybody to take cover. Kastor then called out, "Red 4! Get over here!"

One of Kastor's soldiers came running over, Kastor yelled, "Hand me your grenade launcher!"
The soldier hastily passing it over Kastor wiped the frost from his visor, took aim with an ion grenade, and shot.
Then "Boom!" serveral droids were knocked out.

Kastor then gave out a loud shout, "Red 1,2,3,4,5 your with me, the rest of you go around and get the droids on the left flank while we go forward!"

As the squad split up Kastor and the soldiers with him charged forward, as they fired Kastor spotted a few droids going down, but then a blaster bolt was coming straight for him. He quickly dived to the ground and returned fire.

Then in the distance he seen the rest of the squad coming out from the side of the droids and thought to himself, "Its go time now"
Kastor then stood up and started firing, he counted as he shot down droid by droid, "One, two, three, four.."

With the soldiers at the left flank finishing off the remainder the gave a loud cheer. Kastor walking over and hitting the "End simulation" button on the wall the squad made they're way out.

Out in the lobby Kastor said to his squad, "Good job guys nobody got hurt and we beat the droids in record time!"
the squad gave a cheer but was interuppted as orders came over the comm, "Good job fellas, but you are ordered to continue various training simulations till instructed otherwise, have fun guys!"

Kastor and his squad filling up they're ammo headed into the simulation room once more..

After the short walk from the stop to his parents, Keelos waited on there step to calm his nerves.Although he wouldn't admit it out loud the was anxious to see them, they are his parents after all.
He rang the bell, and his sister answered carrying the youngest of her boys. She gave him a hug,and not knowing what to do, Keelos just stood there.
After all the greetings where, diner was served. Eating very little because of lack of hunger, Keelos sat there and listened to his sister tell of the last years events.
After diner, Keelos sat with his oldest nephew on his lap and listen to him tell of his adventures with his friends.
" Tomorrow I will go meet your friends if you does as your mother asks and go to sleep" Keelos said to his nephew.
"Alright, you promise?"
"Promise, now sleep a soldier needs his sleep."
After leaving ear shot of the boy's room, Keelos's mother stated "Stop that nonsense. Don't put horrible thoughts like that in his head. He is only ten."
" Mother, stop that! He is ten but he has more patriotism then both you and father ever had!" Keelos said with anger in his voice.

The Conqueror dropped out of hyperspace at its intended destination, a little earlier than scheduled, but much to the crew of the Conquest's pleasure. As they had been experiencing technical faults for the past week and needed to head to Concord Dawn's Ship Dock's immediately which they did as soon as the Conqueror entered its standard patrol route, being watched by a Hutt Cruiser.

Dake gathered his squadron and the ground crew in the hanger just near their Mantha Starfighters, which is currently the most common starfighter within the Mandalorian Navy.

"Listen Up" Dake shouted to get the attention, "We are to run standard Combat Patrols along our border. We'll take it in pairs; first up will be myself and Knight 2 with Knight 3 on Alert Five. We currently have a Hutt Cruiser just off our border; it has currently made no aggressive moves or made any contact with us. If they cross into our space, we have ordered to destroy or disable any craft."

There seemed to be a little uneasiness within the squadron, after he finished. Dake tried to look for something to lift up their sprites, which he felt was really down. "Well from what I heard Slim Tails can't fly anyway so we shouldn't have any problems. To Your Stations"

He ran over to his Mantha, where the ground crew and fuelled and equipped the basic armament used for Combat Patrols which were short range concussion missiles. Knight Two had already powered up and began to leave the hanger, which Dake quickly followed after flicking a few switches. As they left the hanger the two fighters formed up and rolled under Conqueror, keeping within their gun range, which was standard for a Mandalorian Combat patrol

Laying down in the barracks of the training base, waiting on the squad to show, he thought of the fight at his parents house. It had been brutal. He had said some horrible things. When it was over he could only stay long enough to keep his promise to his nephew and then was forced to leave. His sister understanding what he said and why. His parents were not as smart and believed Keelos to be brain washed.
Keelos thought that his nephews friend as good kids although miss giuded in play. **They should be playing games that challenged the body and mind, not tag.**
The only ones at the barracks from the squad besides Keelos where, his second in command, Heer, and the orphan, scout. That not being his name, he preffered it. Besides, it suited him thats what he did best. Heer didn't go home becuase he had none. As an only child to a dead war hero and a mother who died when he was young.These two wrestled in the back of the room, to build both stamina and skill in hand to hand. Of the ten in the squad, these two where the closest, probaly from the lose the both suffered.
Bored with just lying a round Keelos went to the range to polish up on his sniper skills.

"Knight 2 Form Up" Dake said as his wingman started to drift away from him and the Conqueror. He was running the usual sensor sweep, picking up the number of particles around the ship and some other technical things he was particularly interested in.

His attention was drawn from his wingman to the Hutt Cruiser, which one of its hanger bays had started to open. With the distance between each ship, they could easily bombard each other with torpedos, so it was quite visible with the naked eye, especially the naked eye of a Mandalorian.

"Captain..." Knight Two started as he brought up his shields and charged his weapons, "Look's like something might be happening"

Dake copied his wingman's actions, as they continued on their patrol course, when a small transport came out of the Hutt Cruiser heading directly for the Mandalorian border.

"Hutt Transport" Dake said through the COM link he had just opened, "You are about to breech Mandalorian Space, state your intentions or we shall open fire."

There was no answer from the transport as it continued its course; the message was repeated this time by Commodore Ordo. The transport sent no reply again, and just before the border it changed course heading back to Cruiser. It seemed that's all the Hutt's wanted was a threat from the Mandalorians because as soon as the transport was back into the hangar bay, the Hutt Cruiser entered hyperspace.

Dake shook his head, "Stand down Knight 2, return to the Conqueror", he altered course and headed towards the hanger returning his speed to impulse and allowing the tractor beam to take hold of his ship. As the two craft touched down, Knight Four and Five launched leaving Knight Six on alert five.

Dake headed up to the bridge, where Commodore Ordo had summoned him. He knew what it was going to be about; he wanted a report on what just happened, even though he had witnessed it himself. Sometimes Dake questioned whether this man should be in command of a starship, but because it's one of the best run ships in the fleet he can't argue with the way he does things.

"Sir, you sent for me?" Dake said as he saluted the Commodore and handed over his report what just happened.

"Ah... I believe their intentions were clear just then. They wanted a threat from us so they can bring it before the Republic, we may just have witnessed the start of another war." Commodore Ordo replied sternly, as he read over the report, "I'll send this off to High Command right away, so they can decide what to do"

Dake remained on the bridge of the Conqueror, technically if Commodore Ordo was off the ship Dake would be in command but he always left it to those more familiar with the ship environment. It was too slow for him, he preferred being in a cockpit than to being on a bridge.

A few hours later in Naval High Command, Keldabe, Mandalore the report sent from Conqueror arrived and immediately brought to the attention of the Grand Admiral who after reading the report headed to the Presidential Palace to meet with Mandalore the Devious.

"Mandalore" said the Grand Admiral with a salute, "I have the first report from the Conqueror, and it seems they had some problems."

Mandalore grabbed the report and quickly read through it, "Cancel All Leave. All Mandalorian Armed Force to be placed on a 72 Hour Standby." he turned to his Ambassador to the Republic, "I want you to meet with the Republic Senate, and make sure they understand our feelings on the matter in hand."

The message that all Military personnel were on a 72 hour standby travelled faster than the Mandalorian Holonet could transmit it. On board the Conqueror, the Commodore ordered for Battle Stations. Dake was ordered to launch the entire squadron Black Knight's while the other squadron of Mantha's stationed aboard were to remain on Alert 5; these were assigned the call sign White Raptors.

Dake split the squadron in too three trio's of fighters each with their own patrol course around the Conqueror, in thirty-six hours it would be the White Raptor's turn to fly CAP around the Conqueror.

Siba recived the 72 hour standby, so she returned to base, from meditating and chanting.

Siba had a smile she keep off her face. " I think finally we will see the rise of the Mandalorian. " she says softly to herself.

" I must inform to someone that I feel that the Jedi's are grouping and the Senate are going to do their best to stop the Mandalorian. " she continued with her thoughts. " More chanting and meditiating will soon help my understanding." she says continung with her thoughts as she reached the barracks.

**Steady. Steady** Keelos thought as he readied for the next shot. **Stea...**
"Sir"
" What is it, Heer."
"There has been a 72-hour stand-by. Training has been cancelled, and the squad is coming in as we speak."
Laying down the gun and standing up, Keelos felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Training scrubbed, leave cancelled. What happened?"
"Contact was made with a Hutt crusier at the border."
"Get to the armoury and get our weapons out. I want them at the barracks now. Move"
"Yes sir"
Raising Scout on the com-link" Scout as the squad comes in get them prepped we may be needed."
"Yes Sir"

Kastor and his squad entered the lobby sweating and exhausted from the simulated desert in the training room, signaling for some drinks they all sat down giving eachother ideas and input on the training.

But then Kastor signaled his squad to silence as voices came over the comm system, "Good news boys we might see some action! Head over to the barracks immediatly we are on a 72 hour standby"

The squad cheered and hoped for some action, Kastor then stood up and said, "Alright boys you heard 'em Get off your butts lets move, move, move!"

The squad then all headed out the door and towards the barracks, Kastor thinking to himself, "I wonder what could of put us on standby? Could somebody try and dare attack the Mandalorians? Who knows but i will strike down any who oppose our great Mandalore"

All sorts of squads gathered in the barracks they all were disscussing which squad was on lookout, Kastor then gladly put his squad up to it. With nobody able to sleep because the anxiousness of the stand-by the rest of the soldiers in the barracks decided to start up a fight tournement.

Kastor excited gladly signed up looking forward to a good scrap, his first match was up against a fairly small soldier but he made up for it in his quickness.

Kastor and the soldier circled around waiting for an opening then Kastor saw one, the soldier came diving towards his knees looking for a takedown but Kastor quckily raising his knee connected with him right in the jaw.

The soldier was knocked-out cold, then other soldiers carried him off to the medical bay, next up was are more larger man about his size he was a corporal named Brayden. Kastor knew this was going to be a good fight, wasting no time Kastor came forward with a left hook but Brayden quickly ducked sweeping Kastor's legs.

Kastor quickly jumped up then connected a right kick to his gut knocking the wind out of Brayden, Kastor seizing this opportunity grappled him around the stomach lifting him up and slamming him on his back.

Kastor jumped on him throwing punches at his head but he covered his head pretty well, Kastor off guard was head-butt in the face. Knocked onto his back Kastor quickly tried to get up but Brayden quickly jumped ontop of him getting Kastor into a leg-lock. Kastor acting quickly used his other foot the kick him right in the mouth.

Escaping the submission Kastor quickly jumped back onto his feet, Brayden stood up wiping the blood from his mouth and raising his fist he swung a right-cross towards Kastor, Kastor quickly ducking came upwards with an uppercut knocking Brayden unconcious.

The Soldiers in the barracks now yelling and cheering in excitment they all congragulated Kastor, Kastor now saying he was done fighting as he had to go check on his squad. Heading out the door in full battle-gear he thought, "I hope i get to see some action soon, this training just isen't the same"

"Up. Down. Up. Down. Up." Keelos said as he and his squad did push ups to warm up for PT. The whole squad had been asembled for about an hour before the voted to do some PT.
" I want 25 moutain climbs then we will take a break long enough to get in full combat gear, including a com-link for a good run. Quickly polishing of his 25 Climbs Keelos told the squad that he would go let the Commpany commander know what they would do.
"When I get back you all better be in full gear or its double the distance for all." After a jog to the Company CP Keelos said " Sir, second squad is going on a run. "
"You have a com-link?"
"Yes sir, in full combat gear."
" Have fun"
" Thank you sir."
Back at the Barracks Keelos quickly got into gear and they started to run right out of the barracks and on to the road.

It had been Twelve hours since the order for a 72 Hour Standby was issued by Mandalore the Devious when they heard word that Omark Farde had reached Coruscant and about to disrupt the senate. Mandalore had ordered that he give updates on his situation every six hours, which would be transmitted by means of the Mandalorian Military Holonet through to Mandalore's office.

The Black Knight's had been flying CAP around the Conqueror for only a third of their shift. So far Dake had managed to record on his scanners two comets and heap loads of space dust. They had been joined by a Devastator-class Command Cruiser known as Serpent; it was twice the size of the Conqueror and had double the fire power. But like many ships within the Mandalorian Navy it had yet to see action, so it was placed on the border with the Conqueror just in case any Hutt Starships returned to the area.

"Knight Four to Knight Lead" said Knight Four, "I'm picking up a deep space sensor heading towards our border. Pulmonary scans indicate it could be of Hutt origin, suggest as soon as it breaches our borders we bring it aboard the Conqueror."

"Roger that Knight Four" Dake replied, strange really for the Hutt's to launch a probe, perhaps they were wrong and it was just a comet. "Keep me posted"

Laying down Keelos thought about the last twelve Kilometers he and his squad had just jogged in full gear. when he was nearly asleep he heard " Sir when are we getting up?'
"When I wake you, now Kraw get some sleep."
"Yes sir, but when will you get up."
"Thats not your concern now sleep."
Now that he was fully awake Keelos had to lay there and relax before he started to feel drowsy again. While he relaxed he set the timer on his watch for five hours.
After which he laid there and listened to the sounds of the night. Crakle of the fire, faint whistle of the wind; then he was out like a light.

"Unidentified freighter, please identify yourself," a gravelly voice echoed in the dark cabin of a small ship on its way to Concord Dawn, one of the main planets in the Mandalorian Empire.
"This is Cell Echani of the Merciless. I've recieved orders from one Admiral Thywell. I was supposed to be at his ship six hours ago," another voice, just as deep, replied.
The man at the other end, probably a communicationsofficer on one of the ships orbiting Concord Dawn, searched through his computer, scanned the ship, and then said, "Okay, you're clean. Hold your course, and an escort fighter will meet you soon. Out,"

"Just follow me to get to the Fire of Mandalore, and you will be with the Admiral in no time!" the pilot of a small starfighter said as he flew by the Merciless.

It was in the closing minutes of the Black Knights Combat Patrol when they discovered what the so called Hutt probe actually was; it was a Hapes Consortium long range communication probe. Apparently they were sending a starship, with an Ambassador on board to finalize the financial backing of the Empire. This would allow the build up of the Mandalorian Armed Forces as currently thousands if not millions of Mandalorians are waiting for their equipment and training to be completed. Those currently surviving consider themselves as lucky compared to the others.

Dake wasn't too interested in the financial backing, as long as it took the Mandalorians into what they do best, War, he would be extremely pleased to do his part for Mandalore.

"Black Knights, this is Lead" Dake said through the COM link, only stopping to yawn. "Return to the Conqueror, our Combat Patrol is over but we will be on standby just in case we are needed to support the White Raptors."

He brought his Mantha, as did the rest of his squadron slowly down to the hanger as the White Raptors exited the hanger in their Mantha's. All Starfighter Pilots in the Mandalorian Navy fly the Mantha and hoped soon rather than later they would get to test them in an actual war zone situation.

Mandalore the Devious before meeting with the Hapes Consortium Ambassador, who's starship, would be reaching Mandalore, under Mandalorian Navy escort, within the hour. Needed first to address some Mandalorian soldiers, one of them being Kastor Onari and the Red Fist aswell the 56th Legion made up of Three Thousands Mandalorian Legionnaire Soldiers.

The 56th Legion which included the Red Fist Squad had assembled near Mandalore's Palace. "Fellow Mandalorians" Mandalore began, "Today is a good day for a Mandalorian Victory. A planet just outside our borders known as Kelthar is about to become a new member of our Empire by your hands."

The Keltharians are a species similar to Wookiees in way of life but have more physical similarities with Humans. Kelthar was a temperate jungle world, known for its exotic species and plants aswell as endless rain. They were an extremely capable warriors armed with blasters and spears, they now of no fear yet. Mandalore wishes to crush them quickly and incorporate their world into the Empire. The 56th Legion was to join the 23rd Legion in the assault of the planet, in around about four hour's time, a total of Seven Thousand Mandalorian Legionnaire Soldiers were going to assault the planet.

"Go with Honour and you shall have victory" Mandalore shouted at his soldiers before handing them over to their General and headed off to meet with the Hapes Consortium Ambassador.

"Sir wake up."Kraw said
"What is it?"Keelos said a little groggy.
"CPs on the horn"
Taking the com-link, Keelos glances at his watch. **Three hours of sleep**
"What is it Sir?" Scout said.
"Action. Scout get the rest of the squad up. Kraw get the fires put out. Heer get the water rations passed out. We leave in five."
"Yes sir" They all said in unison.

Five minutes later. "Double time, we got two hours to cover twelve K's. MOVE!" They all moved at incredible speed through the woods instead of via the path, it being faster.
On the way he finished the prilimnary breifing.
"So your telling us,that the 23rd will fight along side the 56th to take Kelthar. And we are supposed to meet them in four hours to launch." Cristo asked.
"You got it, on gliche is we are still about 8 K's out from base." Keelos replied.
"Sir CP again." Kraw stated.
"Yes sir. Yes sir. 50 yards west of here, got it. Thank you sir."
Returning the com-link Keelos told his squad, "Drop ship inbound for pick up. 50 yards west is a clearing thats the LZ. When we get there I want us scattered about 10 yards apart. Don't show your self until i give the signal."

Shortly after that the drop ship touched down. Keelos walked out then quickly gave the signal. They mounted up and headed for base.

Kastor and his squad stood in a line near the Great Palace of The Mandalore, Kastor and his squad listening to the words being spoken, Kastor between pauses of speech looking around at this glorious sight of Mandalorian soldiers ready for battle once more.

The thought of some action had really excited his squad, Kastor envisioning in his head 7,000 Mandalorian soldiers marching across the jungle, thinking of how many troops the Keltharians would have, but his thought was quickly interuppted as Mandalore shouted, "Go with honour and you shall have victory"

His squad giving a cheer as the Mandalore made his exit, with the Mandalore gone Kastor now turned to his squad, "Alright boys listen up, most of you have never been in actual battle before but i believe in you, stick with me and im sure you'll be fine, remember your no good to us dead."

Kastor decided that him and his squad should get ready as they were due for battle soon, heading to the armoury they loaded up on weapons and equipment, as they were fully-loaded with the heavy weight Kastor and his squad ran laps to adjust to the difference.

As Kastor ran laps all he could think of was, "Here is the start of a new galaxy, a galaxy under the flag of the Mandalorians!"

Over the skies of Keldabe, two tremendous starships had begun to decent through the atmosphere. They were Leviathan-class Carriers, designed as both a troop transport starship and a starfighter carrier; they would carry the Legionnaires above Kelthar and then deploy troopships down on the surface accompanied by starfighter escort.

Aswell as the 23rd and 56th Legions there also was the 5th Armoured Division, made up of a few hundred armoured vehicles that were designed for jungle warfare. It would seem that the Mandalorians have been prepare for this for quite sometime as they had managed to assemble a fleet, known now as the 2nd Battle Group and have the right intelligence of the Keltharians unlike there last campaign which they were ill prepare for, although that was a victory it cost them dearly.

Over the Mandalorian Holonet, the news of the upcoming battle was sent to all Mandalorians. Dake watched a view screen as 7000 Legionnaires boarded the Leviathans. He wanted his squadron to be present at the battle but like Commodore Ordo, who wanted the Conqueror to be present aswell they were denied.

"Sure looks amazing doesn't it Sir?" said a member of the hanger crew to Dake

"It sure does, only wish I could be there" Dake replied taking in what he was watching, wishing he was there, "My Brothers a member of the 56th Legion, would have loved to have served beside him but my place is here and I honour that."

"My father is in the 23rd" the crew members replied, looking quite nervous but at the same time happy as this is what he and his father had both wanted, "It wont be long until we see some action Sir." The man gave a quick salute before returning to his work, refuelling the Mantha's. Whereas Dake continued watching for a few minutes before heading back to his Mantha to talk with the ground crew servicing it.

"Captain Chan" said the Lieutenant in charge of the small ground crew, "It appears that your Mantha was leaking fuel, small enough not to notice on the instruments but it would have slowed the Mantha down in combat. We have fixed the problem but will need to keep a close eye on it every time you come back in."

"Thank you for fixing it then" Dake replied, that’s was comforting to know he thought, if he had gone into combat just he may not have returned to the Conqueror. He left his squadron on the hanger bay, most of them watching the Holonet and headed up to the bridge to talk with Commodore Ordo.

The Holonet replayed Mandalore's speech and then switched back to the general news of the Mandalorian Empire, much to the disappointment of all the Mandalorians watching.

Meanwhile, Mandalore had met with the Hapes Consortium Ambassador, where he began discussing the finalizing of the financial backing. Apparently, the Hapes wanted to no only give them financial backing, but allow the Mandalorians another staging area if they helped them with a few problems of their own. To which Mandalore agreed to do, as it was a Hapes way of saying would you join us in battle against our enemies when the time comes.

Kastor and his squad were used to the armours weight by now and they has started heading to load up with the rest of the 56th legion, taking pauses on the way to the ship to take a look around at the soldiers all marching, Kastor felt good inside just watching these soldiers together, fighting for the Mandalorians, for the same cause, we were all brothers in arms.

Kastors trail of thought was interrupted as he was nudged by one of his squad members saying, "Sir, we have to get on the ship its last call"
Kastor replying, "Alright lets move then shall we?"
The squad yelled back, "Yes sir!"

Jogging towards the ship they entered to see a mass of soldiers, observing some people Kastor could tell who was pumped for battle, and those who were nervous, considering his role as a squad leader Kastor figured he should go and cheer up some of the soldiers because he did not want to see anybody holding back.

Walking around the ship he would stop and talk to some soldiers about back home, their family, what they thought the battle was going to be like. Just some stuff to pass the time while they waited for departure, then the pilot came over the comm, "Alright everybody, we will be launching now and we all wish you good luck in the upcoming battle!"

As the ship lifted off Kastor walked over to his squad and said, "Alright guys, this is it some real battle! I suggest you guys get some rest your going to need it."

The two Leviathan-class Carriers had joined the rest of the 2nd Battle Group and had jumped into hyperspace on their way to the Kelthar. The 2nd Battle Group was made up of only ten starships within the newly created fleet. These being made up of two Leviathan-class Carriers, five Inferno-class Light Cruiser and three Devastator-class Heavy Battle Cruisers.

The Devastator-class Heavy Battle Cruisers were heavier models of the Inferno-class Light Cruiser, which like its smaller cousin had yet to be tried in combat. This would be the first time since the reformation of the Mandalorian Empire that not only the Mandalorian Navy but the Army aswell had been involved in a combat situation.

It would take all but three hours to reach the planet of Kelthar, who lacked the valuable resources to build any starships to counter the Mandalorian Navy, but had spent all their resources on building up their ground defences around their capital city known as Felbak. This is the intended destination of the Mandalorian Armed Forces.

Keelos walked in and said "Listen up. All the intel. I could get was that in three hours we will arrive at our destination of Kelthar. Its a jungle planet and the inhabitants are well dug in and are probably going to put up one hell of a fight. Company briefing is in 90 minutes. Lets get our gear together before then."
"Sir you know where we are landing at?" Heer asked as he dumped his gear.
" I presume near the capital of Felbak." Keelos replied as he sat down and started to sift through his equipment.

"Bantha Company report to Briefing room 2 Asap" an annoucement said over the inter-com.
You heard the man Move." Keelos said as he re-assembled his blaster. " Double time it there."

Kastor sitting in his quarters and was just getting ready for sleep when a knock hit his door sounded. Opening the door it was his second in command of the squad Raff standing there. He looked at Kastor and said, "Sir just wanted to inform you the ETA is about three hours."

Kastor giving a nod and saying, "Alright thanks" then closed his door and laid down on his bed, looking at his weapons he decided that he would clean them out and get them in the best condition for this fight cause jungles can get rough.

Finishing his weapons he started to shine up his armour, the moved onto his night vision and thermal goggles, making sure all his equipment was in top shape. And then he was down to his last piece of his equipment, his knife. He changed the grip on it putting a better one on and then he made it razor sharpe.

And he stopped to look at the time to see an hour had gone by already,deciding to get some rest he laid down and then used his comm to message his team.."Alright guys im gunna get some sleep don't bother me unless it is important"

Laying down he fell asleep dreaming of the coming battle

Three hours had passed since the 2nd Battle Group had entered hyperspace, it had reached its destination of Kelthar and the two mighty Leviathan-class Carriers had begun their decent on to the planet surface. The General, Horux Trill was also amongst the 7000 Legionnaires made up of the 56th and 23rd Legions who were on their way down to the surface, along with 5th Armoured Division.

He had made his customary speech on how he was honoured to lead this Mandalorian Army into victory for Mandalore. Basically he was slightly scared by the Keltharians as they were always compared in their aggressive tendencies to those of the Wookiees, although not as physically strong as them, these near-humans could certainly put up a strong fight. He was also worried about reports of them being dug in well along the way to the capital.

He was the first out the Leviathan-class Carriers, carrying the standard Mandalorian Assault Rifle he ran towards the tree line along with the rest of the 56th and 23rd, followed closely by the armoured units of the 5th.

Dake stood in the hanger bay, watching the White Raptors land in the hanger. The Conqueror had been called back from the borders, and was being replaced by a Devastator-class Heavy Battle Cruiser known as the Avenger. They had called the Conqueror back to under go a few repairs after they discovered a fault on the Conquest around Concord Dawn, aswell as to receive their new orders. Dake had heard in the officers mess that apparently Mandalore himself was coming to brief the two vessels, he was extremely nervous and honoured as it actually had never met his leader yet only seen him from the balcony of the palace.

Keelos ran down the ramp and hit the embankment, his squad landing nest to him. THe shuttle lifted of and took a hit from a concussion missle. After it fell to the ground it detonated.
" Kraw get that gun set up, we need the supressing fire now." The squad had been given the order to take the bunker before the main invasion hit or it would be a blood bath.
"Yes sir" Kraw replied.
"Heer get a detonator ready to throw. When it goes off every one over the top. Kraw your open up also when it goes off, and keep firing until I call you forward. Stay low because he will not let up." They nodded. "Throw it."
BOOOM!!
"Go, Go, Go" Keelos yelled as jumped up over the edge and slide in to the water. Nericks body slide in next to him with half his chest missing. The water was kicked up from the bunkers guns." Duck into the water as low as you can" Keelos said as he ducked into the redend water.

Keelos layed on the opposite embankment from where they where dropped. He pulled Nericks lifeless body up and rolled it to teh top to give more head room.
"Sir, Kraw can't cross. The incoming fires to heavy."
"Darn I needed him up here. Scout go down a ways and see if you can see beyond this ridge. Heer go the opposite direction and do the same"
Scout nodded and went down their left flank. Heer went to the right.

Minutes later Heer came back "I found a pipe that looks like it leads to the bunker"
Before he could reply Scout came back." Looks all flat no cover till the bottom of the bunker. But there is a row of brush that leads close to the bunker."
"Good, Scout take five use that brush. Heer take five and find where that pipe goes. The rest of us will get Kraw across this creek."

The battle had been raging on for several hours on Kelthar, General Horux Trill who was commanding the brave soldiers of the 56th and 23rd Legions and the accompanying 5th Armoured Division, He seemed extremely nervous and being that they had only pushed the Keltharians back a mile or two, he stupidly ordered the general retreat of the Mandalorian forces.

This was quickly transmitted by his second-in-command, Major Jorran Darklighter, a man more fitted to the job of command. He wanted them to push on against the will of the General but as a few Mandalorian units began to pull back he thought it necessary to send the message straight to Mandalore.

In his palace, Mandalore had arranged a meeting with his top military advisors to discuss what to start construction on first with the new financial backing that they had received from the Hapes. When a young man burst into the conference room, shaking and holding a datapad.

"My Lord, urgent message from Kelthar" said the young man as he handed it over to Mandalore.

"I trust the battle is over...." he was stopped in his tracks as he read the report, "WHAT! Send this reply back to Major Darklighter. Execute General Trill; you are now in command of the 2nd Battle Group. Lead those to victory do not fail me"

It took all but fifteen minutes for the message to be received on Kelthar through the Mandalorian Secure Military Holonet. Major Darklighter was at first quite stunned by the orders but these were sent by Mandalore, himself and he could not fail him. He pulled out his blaster pistol and walked over to the General who was on the COM link unit to all the Mandalorians within the 2nd Battle Group.

He took a deep breath and pulled up the pistol, and quickly pulled the trigger, the limp corpse dropping to the ground in disgrace. Picking up the COM Link, Major Darklighter issued his orders. "My Fellow Mandalorians of the 56th and 23rd Legions and of the 5th Armoured Division, by order of Mandalore the Devious our General has been relieved of command. There shall be no retreat, push on and show the Keltharians the true meaning of Mandalore might."

Dake woke up in his quarters, it would be a few hours till he reached Concord Dawn but it was his turn on the Command bridge being the second-in-command on the Conqueror. It hated doing it but it was his duty and had no choice but to perform it.

A Lieutenant, which was on the same shift as Dake was walking beside him when he suddenly said, "Have you heard Sir? General Horux Trill has been relieved of his command for cowardice."

Dake looked at the young Lieutenant, "Never really liked that man, well that means they will be executing his family on the Holonet soon. Have they said how the battle is going?

Mandalorian principles on being a coward or traitor is that not only the coward or the traitor is executed but his disgraced family is aswell usually on the Holonet so they all Mandalorians can see what happens.

The two men talked about the battle and the possibilities of where they new orders could take them when they reach Concord Dawn as the Lieutenant was also a pilot, a member of the White Raptors.

Kastor and his squad were dodging blaster shots as He and his squad raced to get behind an armoured vechicle for cover. Finnally making it behind the vehicle Kastor peeked around the edge to find many Keltharians dug in the ground and camoflouged in with the jungle.

Kastor yelled, "Cover me!" as he dived behind a tree switching on his thermal vision, every few seconds he would peek out and fire and the enemys behind the bushes, hitting a few, the armoured vehicle was able to move forward a bit more.

Diving behind the vehicle Kastor and the squad moved up a bit more, looking at his second in command Raff, Kastor then said to him..load up the grenade launcher and fire at that trench when i say so, Raff replying with only a nod loaded up his weapon.

Kastor then ran recklessly through the trees firing at them drawing their attention, as the Keltharians stood up to fire at Kastor he then gave Raff the order to fire, Raff standing up took aim and fired a grenade right at the group of them..BOOM!

With the trench cleared Kastor and his squad ran over and took all weapons and ammunition and took it to the supply truck, as night began to decend they sat in the trench making up camp and eating their rations.

As night fell across Kelthar and the fighting had died down just a little bit, Major Darklighter decided he should go around the small camp sights of his soldiers and speak to them personally. Word had got to him about a small unit achievement in battle, under the command of Squad Leader Kastor Onari.

He approached the small camp quickly sitting down with the men, he looked around at them all, and these men were what the Mandalorians were all about honour and fellowship. "Well done, you deserve your rest."

He moved on towards the 23rd Legion after speaking to the majority of the 56th who were resting, the next small camp he arrived at was the camp of Squad Leader Keelos Jan. He looked around at them aswell and thought the same thing, it was these men he was in command of that would bring the Mandalorians into power over the rest of the galaxy.

The Conqueror had finally reached Concord Dawn's Shipyard, there waiting for her was her sister ship, Conquest. Dake's shift in command of the ship was over but he would have to remain on duty for several more hours. Both ships were to under go some quick repairs before they head of to meet with the 3rd Battle Group over the skies of Shogun, deep with the Mandalorian Empire. Rumours throughout the Mandalorian forces and civilian population were that they were preparing for an assault either on Republic space or on the Hutt Empire. And now that the financial backing from the Hapans had been secured the quick building of Mandalorian equipment and vessels had commence and was nearly completed.

As it started to get darker battle died down even further, Kastor couldn't blame them this was a tough fight, as he sat there thinking he seen the General walking towards his camp.

Kastor loudly whispered to his squad, "At attention! The General is here!"

As they saluted the general he took a seat, he looked around at them and said, "Well done, you deserve your rest"

Kastor couldn't help but smile after the general left, he felt so honoured that the general had heard of his achievment and decided to come pay him a visit. Turning to his soldiers Kastor congragulated all of them, he said, "Good job guys, even the General recognized your work today, if we keep working together like this the war will be over in no time!" nodding at his men he told them to get some rest.

About an hour passed still Kastor was unable to sleep, looking over he noticed Raff was awake too, Kastor whispered over, "Psst! Hey Raff come here"

As Raff came over he said, "Yes?", Kastor replied, "Well neither of us can sleep, what do you say we take advantage of this situation?"

Raff confused said, "What situation?"

Kastor said, "The situation is that me and you are both wide awake and have energy, and there is probobly hundreds of sleeping Keltharians up ahead, i say me and you go scout up ahead, sound good?"

Raff thinking it was a great idea smiled and said, "Alright lets get to it then shall we?"

Kastor then began to take off his heavy battle armour, leaving only his darker light armour on so he could move faster, taking off all his equipment he only left his knife, night vision and thermal goggles. Raff doing the same they walked over to the supply truck and each took a sniper rifle and some ammunition.

Crouching they headed north from the trench towards some more enemy trenches, Kastor gave a signal to Raff, they both crouched there silently barely breathing as two Keltharians walked by scouting the area.

Kastor made a gesture with his hand informing him he got the one on the left, Kastor then put down his rifle and pulled out his knife with Raff doing the same they were about three feet away from them, Kastor was thinking he was lucky there was so many trees cause the jungle was dark and it was perfect.

Turning and nodding at Raff they both leaped at the Keltharians, Kastor slicing one in the neck turned to See Raff also ontop of a dead Keltharian, dragging their bodies back Kastor and Raff tossed them into a bush.

Seeing the dark red glow of coals ahead Kastor knew it was an enemy camp in a trench, as they walked closer to the camp Kastor told Raff to wait for him, looking around Kastor saw just what he was looking for, a tree with a big limb just the right height to see the camp. Climbing up he switched on his thermal goggles, he saw about 100+ Keltharians all sleeping in the trench.

Then Kastor had an idea, he thought to himself, "this is the perfect time to strike, Me and the rest of the squad could finish off this camp!"

Not sure if the General would want him to awaken the rest of the forces just yet he decided to contact him on the comm, he turned on the comm set it to go to the general he said, "General, excuse me general this is Kastor Onari of the 56th Legion, I'am squad leader of The Red Fist, you came to my camp earlier, sir i have scouted up ahead I'am about 2 kilometres ahead of our trenches and i've come across about 100+ Keltharians sleeping, if i brought the rest of my squad to my location i could take them all out with our grenade launchers. I was not sure if you wanted me to awake anybody yet so i'am asking your permission sir, what should i do?"

Major Darklighter picked up the COM Link, he looked around to see the majority of the 56th and 23rd Legion still wide awake either staring at their assault rifles or staring out into the impending battle. Whereas the members of the 5th Armoured Division, were continuously shelling enemy position several kilometres away.

"Take them out Onari. A promotion might be in this for you" replied the Major, he knew when he got back to Mandalore, and he would be personally promoted by Mandalore himself to General. He flicked the COM Link over to all members of the 56th and 23rd Legions aswell as the 5th Armoured. "This is our time to strike a fatal blow to the Keltharians. Advance!"

Kastor replied back to the soon-to-be general, "Thank you sir i won't let you down", Kastor then flicked his comm onto his squad channel, "Wake up now!, this is our chance to strike, load up your grenade launchers and bring Mine and Raffs armour its by the fire, try not to make much noise the enemy is sleeping."

Raff whispered up to Kastor, "Im gunna go with the squad and make sure they shut their yaps"

Kastor looked down at Raff and nodded, a little while later Kastor seen his squad heading to the tree he was in, jumping down Kastor Grabbed his armour off one of his men and started to put it on, taking a grenade launcher Kastor loaded it up with thermal grenades.

Looking around to make sure his men where all set he then said to them, "Alright guys here is whats going down, just up there in the trench there are about 150-200 keltharians sleeping, we are all going to take postions at the trenches and fire a barrage of grenades"

The rest of the soldiers nodding their heads the quietly followed Kastor each taking postions at the trench about their weapons each at group of sleeping Keltharians, Kastor raised his hand..then with a chopping action he yelled, "Fire!!"

Dozens of grenades were fired in the trenches, then over the Bangs, and booms Kastor yelled, "Hold your fire!!"

Laying in front of them, over 100 lifeless keltharians, Kastor then said, "That wasen't to hard now was it?" Just as he spoke those words a few Keltharians alarmed by the blast that were sleeping in bushes came charging down.

Kastor yelled, "In the trench!" just as dozens of shots were fired at them they dived in the trench, Grabbing their rifles they peeked over and shot down a few Keltharians then unexpectedly a Keltharian jumped into the trench weilding a long scimitar shaped sword charging at Kastor swinging it recklessly.

Quickly Kastor raised his rifle to stop his blade from slicing his head off, Kastor then kicked the Keltharian in the gut making him bend over then rifle-butt him in the head. Aiming the rifle at the Keltharian, he shot him in the chest a few times.

Raff then picked up the sword and whipped it at another Keltharian and it sliced into the Keltharians chest, seizing the momentum Kastor ordered them to charge over the trench, with only about 10 Keltharians left they started to retreat a little, one of the soldiers fired a grenade at the group finishing them off.

Letting out a loud cheer Kastor patted the soldier on the back, then he said, "Alright guys helluva fight, now gather up those bodies in a pile and burn them will ya?"

Flicking on his comm he said, "General the Keltharian force here has been destroyed, about 200 Keltharians have been slain and the rest of the army is all clear to move up a few kilometres, i will set up camp here for the other soldiers, Onari out"

After the Major stopped by Keelos told his squad to try and get some sleep. After trying awhile he gave up.Sitting up he noticed most of his squad was also awake he ordered them to check their gear.

The CO walked over to Keelos's squad, "I got a job for y'all."
"What is it sir." Kraw said as he moved his gun to clean the slide.
" There are reports of a Keltharian Mortar team moving u.." He paused as he waited for the sound of a large explosion. " As I was saying a motar team is moving up from the west, to pound this position and that of the 5th. Take them out."
As Keelos jumped up to wake the members of the wquad that were asleep he said "Yes sir."
Minutes later Keelos and his squad topped a hill. Seeing in the slowly rising sun the movements of the mortar team.
After surving the group Keelso told the squad the plan. "There are about thirty Keltharians out there. Kraw get to the hill to our left and set up shop. I will stay here. THe rest move in a semi-circle on the Keltharians. When You see me shoot five of them Kraw you open up on the group, but fire for ten seconds and then stop. When he stops the rest rush in. Give me the signal when your ready." They all nodded.

Laying there watching the Keltharian bodies burn he then turned to Raff and said, "Alright im tired now im gunna get some rest for a bit, tell 5 of the men to take patrol and alternate every few hours you should get some rest too Raff"

Raff taking what Kastor said to mind he said, "Yeah im going to catch some shuteye aswell." Turning to the rest of the squad Raff said, "Alright men, 5 of you take patrol decide amongst yourselves who, and about every three to fours hours you can switch, the rest of you can rest or do whatever you want, just stay in the area"

The squad then all nodded and then formed up and decided who was on watch first, laying down Kastor set his watch for six hours, and then they were both out like a light.

Six hours later Kastors alarm went off waking him up, feeling more energetic now he figured it was time to get some work done, nudging Raff with his foot he told the squad to gather up.

All of them sitting down now Kastor said, "Alright guys, lastnight we took out a pretty big camp of Keltharians and we should be clear to move up towards the capital a bit more, what i want us to do though is to move up and build an outpost."

One of the rookies then replied, "How are we going to build one sir?"

Kastor smiling said, "Look around, we have plenty of resources in this here jungle, we are going to set up this outpost so we can set up a more larger force closer to the capital and as a place to bring supplies, sound good?"

The squad members all replied, "Yes Sir!"

Kastor then said back to them, "Alright gather up your crap, we leave in five minutes."

About five minutes later the Squad had started heading north, finnally they walked about 5 kilometres glad they had not run into any Keltharian forces yet, looking around Kastor said alright this location is good, any farther and we'll probobly be running into Keltharians everyway we go.

Laying down all their equipment Kastor examined the trees, and large stones, he said, "Alright first thing we are going to do is start on the main building, we can blast down these large trees, they are strong wood and we can make the building out of them, then we can fortify it with the stone, then we can make the outer walls out of the stone as well.

Looking around at the squad he said, "Well?..Get a move on go go go!"

Taking off most of their equipment the squad headed towards a very large and thick tree, placing demo charges they blasted is down and while they were doing that Kastor and Raff were hauling rocks into a piles.

Kastor saying, "Alright guys, first priorety for today is to get the main building established so lets hustle."

Using a laser cutter the other squad members cut the trees into long planks, about four hours later they had finnally made enough planks to make a large enough building.

Now the problem was how to nail planks together, seeing as how they did not have anything to nail them together with, the squad split up looking for something to use, One soldier came running over to Kastor saying that he had found a sticky clay substence that might be able to hold them together, Kastor then told him to gather as much clay as he could and bring it to where the rest of the supplies were.

Then Raff yelled over, "I think I found something!"

With the rest of the squad walking over he pointed into a small cave area where there were these long sharp crystals sticking out, Kastor said, "Perfect we can use these Crystals and that clay substence!"

With that said the squad had started to gather the crystals and clay, another two hours went by before they had a sufficient amount of crystals and clay.

As Kastor took a crystal he nailed it in the plank with his rifle-butt it held perfectly, and with the sticky clay also holding it in the wood foundation would be stable, 5 hours later they had completed a 50 foot-by 50 foot wooden outpost building,looking at their work Kastor smiled and said, "Great job guys now lets just make this baby tougher!"

Over the next hour they had taken plates of stone and nailed/stuck them on.Amazed at what they had done in one day Kastor then told them to bring all the supplies inside and get some sleep, With Kastor and Raff on watch they turned on their comm to the entire 56th and 23rd legions, "Excuse me this is Kastor Onari leader of The Red Fist, I'am informing all of you that My squadron has built an outpost 5 kilometres north of the trenches,there are no Keltharian forces present as a large camp of theirs has been destroyed

The outpost is open to anybody who is injured, sick, needs supplies, or just a place to sleep, my coordinates are (Gives coordinates)

"Onari, this is Major Darklighter" said the Major over the COM link, "I'm sending Mandalorian Medical Teams to your location, the seriously wounded shall be brought here before being shipped back to the 2nd Battle Group"

With that message sent, Major Darklighter and the six Medics headed to Onari's location. Within minutes a few injured Mandalorians had made their way down to that location seeking treatment.

The repairs on both the Conqueror and the Conquest were completed fairly quickly and the two vessels were ready to leave the dry-docks. Dake was eager to get away from Concord Dawn and into some action, they were already on their way to Shogun when he and the rest of the Black Knights came out of the simulation room along with the White Raptors.

"Ok Knights" Dake started, "It looks like were on our way to Shogun then. The 3rd Battle Group must be waiting for us."

"Any idea what our orders are Sir?" asked a young pilot from the White Raptors who were listening to Dake.

"No, we will find out when we get there." Dake answered back, "Dismissed" He turned and walked away leaving the two squadrons heading to the mess for a drink and something to eat. He instead headed up to the bridge to speak with Commodore Ordo and take a look at the news from the battle.

On reaching there, Commodore Ordo for once greeted him with a smile, "Ah... Captain" he said as he turned back looking out across the deck of the ship from the bridge, "We're finally getting some action. The planets of Gorgon are putting together a sizeable fleet and have declared war against our Empire because of our attack on their allies. So Mandalore has ordered that we are to destroy the fleet allowing the 32nd, 51st and the 75th Legions along with the 2nd and 3rd armoured divisions to assault the planet with starfighter and starship support." He handed Dake a datapad containing the information gathered by Mandalorian scouts.

It basically stated the information Commodore Ordo had just said but expanded on the various types of starships and starfighters that they are equipped with.

Keelos got the signal and sighted in on to Keltharians carrying the heavy tube **Squeeze not pull** He let the shots fly, nailing the first in his chest. The second in his throat cleaving his head off.
He then shot the three carrying the ammo, hiting on of the pouches. It exploded. Figuring that was five Kraw opened up Killing or wounding all but those few in the middle.
After Kraw quit firing in rushed the rest of the squad. Leaving is firing position and signaling Kraw to do the same Keelos ran down to assist the squad.
When he finally reached the squad it was all but over. "Report."
"Theirs:All dead, exept four wounded. Ours: All alive, one wounded." Heer reported as he held up the stump that would have been his hand.
"How did you do that?" Keelos asked.
" One had a sword and he wacked it right off."
Scout get a hold of that outpost, and let them know we will stop by."Getting on his com-link "Major Darklighter you want any POW's?"
"Commrade Onari we will be stopping by to pay a visit" Scout said into his com-link

"There will be no prisoners. Do you understand?" Major Darklighter said over the COM Link, he thought it better execute those who may latter attempt to rise up against the Mandalorians.

Dake spent the next few hours reading over the scout reports of Gorgon, the Gorgons as they were called, averaged at about 6ft in height and were a near-human species. There technology wasn't that advanced as the Mandalorian Empire but what they lacked in technology was made up by their numbers, as the planet was the size of an average Gas Giant.

He had heard of rumours that Omark Farde, the Mandalorian Ambassador was making his way to Gorgon to try and bring an alliance together by offering them a part in the Empire. If this was true he hoped that he would fail, as he along with his squadron and the White Raptors were dying to use there Mantha's in combat.

Getting both messages from the Major and Scout, Kastor turned to his squad and said, "Alright guys we are going to need to set up some beds, we got a medical team coming to use this outpost to fix up some soldiers, and we have another squad on the way, so lets set up beds and get some food and water ready for them."

Setting up their sleeping bags the squad then started to get out some rations of food and water and put some food beside each bed, looking outside they seen the medical squad with the Major approaching, as they walked in the squad all saluted the Major.

And within minutes injured soldiers were being carried into the outpost, some with blaster wounds, some with limbs blown off, watching the medical team work Kastor watched as they reattached body parts and sewed up holes.

Kastor looked at his squad and said, "They are going to need more supplies soon so lets head south back to our old camp and get the supply truck."

All nodding the squad started heading out the door, stopping Kastor said, "Raff you and 5 men wait here and watch over while we are gone."

Raff nodded then called over a group of soldiers.

Kastor and the squad started jogging south, about 3 kilometres south of the outpost they noticed the supply truck crashed into a tree, signaling the squad to stop Kastor said, "Wait here, got low and cover me."

As Kastor approached he seen a body in there, running over to the truck inside he seen the decapitated body of the driver then Kastor looked around.

About 35 Keltharians armed with pistols and large swords came charging at the truck, Kastor yell to the squad, "Get in!..Now!"

The soldiers ran as fast as they could to the truck jumping on top they climbed in, Kastor pushed the body of the driver aside then started up the truck, glad it could still start Kastor backed up running over a Keltharian.

Quickly he drove the vechicle as fast as he could towards the outpost swerving to avoid the trees, turning on his com he said, "Raff, this is Kastor, we found the truck smashed into the tree with the driver dead inside, a group of Keltharians chopped his head clean off..there is about 35 of them. Good thing they did not figure out the code for the back of the truck or else we would not have any more supplies."

Raff replied, "Okay good job sir, I will inform the squads down there that there is a group of Keltharians"

With that said Raff turned on his com-link, "Attention to all men at the trenches south of the outpost, be careful as there is a force of Keltharians around that area, we advise you send your men north towards the outpost and finish them before they cause more problems."

"Yes sir." Gettin of the com-link with the major Keelos nodded to Kraw and turned to check on Heer. As he turned Kraw executed the wounded Keltharians." You ready to move?"
" Yes sir."
"Good. Heer stay near the center of the pack." Nodding the got into formation " I want a jog. Move!"
Little over half way to the outpost Scout spotted a Keltharian patrol. "Scout get closer and check it out." He jogged of and returned minutes later.
" Patrols Ten strong, No heavy weapons. There are few good sniping spots up a head."
"Good, Scout and I will go take them out. Kraw get a perimeter set up." Keelos said as he loaded his rifle. Nodding Scout and Keelos disapeared into the jungle.
Waiting on scout Keelos looked at the aproaching squad. Noticing that what appeared to be the leader in the middle constantly on his com. "Click" signaled Scout.
**Wait for them. Wait, Wait** "Click, Click" Keelos signaled back, giving the open fire command.
Taking out the Leader then working his way from the front to the back as Scout worked from the back to the front. When all the Keltharians where down Keelos had counted four from him and six from Scout.
Reaching the rest of the squad, Keelos found that Heer had lost consiousness. "Kraw Carry Heer, I want a run from here to the outpost.

Driving the truck Kastor heard fire from mandalorian blasters in the distance, not hearing any return fire Kastor figured whoever it was killed their target. Getting closer to the outpost he seen another scouting group of Keltharians.."Man, they must be getting desperate they are sending out groups like crazy just to be shot down"

There was about 10 of them, Kastor stepped on the throttle and squashed a few with the truck, pointing a blaster out the side one of the soldiers inside shot the rest down.

Getting out of the truck Kastor walked over to their bodies and noticed that yet another group had swords and small blasters, wondering why so many were starting to use swords he picked up two swords and put them in the truck.

Driving forward he arrived at the outpost, getting out he opened the back of the truck and looked at the supplies, they had lots of food,ammo,blankets,medpacks and weapons..A few seconds later Raff and the rest of the squad had come outside, looking at Kastor he said, "You alright sir?"

Kastor turning around he patted Raff on the shoulder and said, "Yeah im fine thanks, now help me get the food and the medpacks in there first"

Each member of the squad started to bring in medpacks and food into the outpost, putting all of it on one side of the room they all headed out to get the blankets so the injured could be more comfortable.

After a while they started to bring in all the ammo and weapons into the outpost, looking at the weapons they had assault rifles, pistols, snipers, and a few grenade launchers and lots of ammo for each weapon.

Pretty tired from hauling in most of the stuff Kastor took off his armour and helmet to get more comfortable, he laid down on a pillow and wrapped himself in a blanket, looking at his soldiers he said, "I want you guys to set up guns on the roof, and i want a few of you out there with snipers, there has been alot of Keltharian activity around here lately, they might be preparing to launch an attack, as for me i need some rest..you guys can take turns on whos on watch and who can rest."

Before he went to sleep Kastor put his knife and pistol in his belt and put his armour beside his bed..wanting to be ready if anything happened he then went to sleep.

After Five minutes of a dead run they saw the outpost near. Before they could reach it the jungle lite up from the blaster fire.
"Down!!" Keelos said as he dove into the trench near by. "Kraw get that gun set up and return fire! Scout get that outpost on the horn and tell them we need help now!! Every body else fire at will!" Keelos yelled. HE opened up.
After what seemed like for every Kraw got the gun up and firing. "Detnators! Throw Detnators Now!" Keelos yelled as he threw two into the jungle. Seconds later the blast nearly knocked him down. Hearing a Keltharian scream in pain, he smiled.
"Sir there jamming us."Scout yelled.
"Get us on all frequncies and keep trying."
"Yes Sir. "Outpost, Outpost this is squad two of Bantha company we need immedate assistance pinned down by enemy forces and taking casulties." Scout scremed as Keltnot fell over dead.

Kastor laying there sound asleep was awaken by two large explosions nearby, jumping up he put on battle gear.

Ordering everybody in the outpost to the back of the room he yelled to his squad, "Round up!"..As the squad came running in one of them said, "Sir listen to this"..Picking up the com-link Kastor heard static and few words saying.."Outpost...Bantha company..need..assistance"

With that said Kastor said, "Two snipers on the roof now, rest of you follow me!"..As the two snipers climbed up ontop of the build one yelled down to Kastor, "I can see a group of our soldiers being held down by a force of Keltharians."

Kastor looking angry said, "Well start shooting already!!"..With that said the snipers quickly took aim shooting down a few of the Keltharians, Kastor and his squad had ran up the side on the enemy''s right flank hiding behind the trees the enemy was un-aware of there presence yet.

Kastor looked at his squad and said, "On three..Give them hell!..One..Two..Three!"

As Kastor said three the squad had shifted over to the sides of the trees firing viciously at the enemy hitting a few down, now that the enemy had know they were there heavy fire soon came at their direction, jumping back to cover Kastor said into his com link, "Snipers hows the other squads doing?..Hello?..Do you copy?"..Getting no feedback he said, "Crap they are jamming the signals..just as he finished that sentence a voice came over the speaker, "Sir i shot down the one operating the jammer!"

Kastor with a sigh of relief said, "Alright good..hows the bantha company doing?"

The sniper replied, "They are taking heavy fire but holding their own, one of them has a heavy gun set up but there is to much incoming shots for him to pop up and use it"

Kastor looked at the rest of his squad and said, "We need to draw their fire so that soldier can use that gun, any ideas?"

Almost instantly Raff jumped out infront of the tree yelling, "Hey you ugly sons of bit-" jumping behind the tree for cover he couldn't finish his sentence as heavy fire was coming in.

Kastor smiling said, "Good idea!"..Jumping out Kastor started to say, "Hey nice shot!..You almost hit the tree!" Further taunting them most of the fire was coming in their direction now.

And to their relief the soldier from the bantha company had jumped up and blasted a group of them away, with most of the Keltharians down Kastor yelled, "Grenades at the ready!"

All the soldiers getting grenades in their hands they popped out, one of Kastors men had been fatally shot in the head and fell to the ground lifeless, the rest of the squad tossing grenades at the Keltharians, after the blasts The Bantha company and Kastor's squad had started to charge the enemy position, the squads had shoot down any surivors.

Looking up from the bloody pile Kastor looked at Keelos and his men saying, "Hows it goin' boys?"

Keelos Standing up from removing the ID tags from Kelnot replied." Not much., but we need to get him to the outpost asap. He's lost a lot of blood." motioning to Heer.
"Man I glad to see you Boys I thought we were done for." Kraw stated
One of Kastors men replied "Yea, but ya ain't with use around."
Scout said as he hosted up Heer on to his back"Thanks commrades but I think its time we get to a safe place."
Nodding to Scout the rest of the squad moved out, Lead by Kastors lot of men. Moments later they walked in the outpost.
A pair of Medics ran up to Scout and relieved him of Heer. "What happended to him?" One of them asked.
"Lost a hand, also lost a lot of blood. Appears to be in shock."Keelos replied.
"How long ago?"
"Maybe an 30 minutes but I am not sure."
"We will let you know if anything changes."
"Thanks." Keelos said to the Medics. Turning to Kastor " Any place we can cathc some sleep.?"He asked.

Walking into the outpost Kastor watched as the medics took Heer to one of the beds, his trail of thought stopped as Keelos asked if there was somewhere his squad could rest.

Turning and looking at Keelos he said, "Yeah sure", pointing to the back he said, "There are beds back there, and over at the wall next to it in those boxes are food and water, and if you need it in those other boxes are weapons and ammo, go ahead and get some rest my squad will take watch tonight."

Nodding at Keelos he turned around and went outside to talk to his squad, as he walked outside the squad turned and stood at attention, Kastor said, "At ease boys, alright heres whats happening tonight, Keelos' men have made a long trip so we got watch tonight, Raff i want you and two men ontop with snipers, and i want the rest of you to patrol the area let me know if you see anything suspicious, i got a feeling thats not the last of the Keltharians that will be paying us a 'visit'."

With that said the squad all turned around and started on their assigned duty, Kastor pulled out an empty ammo crate and sat down, wondering how far they were from taking the capital, wondering when they were going to get the order to charge the capital.

Kastor sitting there pulled out his knife and started to play with it, turning around he carved his name into the stone on the outpost.."Kastor Onari Was Here"..

Across the entire planet the 56th and 23rd Legions were dug in with the 5th Armoured, rumour had it that in the early hours of the morning, only a matter of two hours away, the final push on the capital would come and victory would be in the hands of the Mandalorians.

Orders had been passed down the lines eventually that in two hours time, Major Darklighter would lead the men of the 56th and 23rd Legions and the 5th Armoured Division in an all out assault on the weakened Keltharian Capital, although it was believed to have the heaviest fighting of the campaign.

Dake sat in his quarters flicking through the known data on the enemy starfighters, it seemed like the Mandalorians were to have an upper hand in all aspects on the upcoming battle according to Military Intelligence. It was now clear to the 3rd Battle Group, which the Conqueror and Conquest had just joined that Omark Farde had not travelled to Gorgon but had been sent to Trandosha to put together an alliance between the two people.

After a couple of Hours of tossing and turning Keelos got up. Looking around he noticed only a few of his squad in a good sleep.

He walked out to get some food. While he was eating the medic who took Heer away earlier came back and said "We got the bleeding stopped and are waiting on the Medical transport to come pick him. He'll then be fitted with an artifical hand and be sent back."

"Thanks Doc." Keelos replied. After he finished eating he went on to the ramparts.
He walked around the ramparts looking at the sky as the capital burned. It had been under constant bombardment since the inital landing.

Noticing Raff standing on the west wall Keelos walked over to him. "Beautiful ain't it?" Noticing Raff was also glancing at the sky. "We are supposed to make a big push for the capital over the weeke-"

Hearing some thing Keelos crouched. Whispering "Get down" to Raff. Raff crouched. Pulling his thermal goggles Keelos looked out into the dark abyss. Seeing what looked to be a small platoon of Keltharians. He told Raff to alert the base of their presence.

Kastor looking around the south wall stopped as he heard whispering around the wall, crouching down he headed around the corner and bumped into Raff, Kastor suprised started whispering, "Whats going on?"

Raff looked up and said, "Theres a group of Keltharians sneaking up on the outpost i was ordered to go alert the outpost."

Kastor thought for a moment then said, "Alright you go wake up the soldiers inside and tell them to keep quiet, then wake up the injured and medical teams and put them at the back of the outpost..keep them safe."

Nodding at Kastor Raff started to walk away then stopped when Kastor said, "Oh yeah one more thing, hand me your sniper rifle."

Raff taking off the sniper from his back tossed it to Kastor then turned around and headed in the outpost, Kastor took his sniper off his back then headed around the corner where he seen Keelos.

Kastor coming up behind Keelos said, "Hey, heads up"..Turning around Keelos caught the sniper Kastor had tossed, crouching up beside Keelos Kastor said, "So what do we have here?"

Keelos whispered, "Looks to be about 35 Keltharians sneaking up through the bushes up there"..Switching on his thermal goggles Kastor looked out into the darkness seeing the Keltharians standing in the bushes and they seemed to be talking.

Kastor heard a loud whisper behind him..Turning around it was Raff saying, "Sir, the men are all awake and ready to fight what now?"

Kastor looked at Keelos..then looked backed at Raff then said, "Get the men ready to charge on our signal, what do you say we do some sniping eh Keelos?"

Keelos turned with a grin and said, "Lets do it"

Taking aim they both spotted the Keltharians heading towards the outpost now, taking aim at a Keltharians head Kastor said, "Fire at will"

With that said, almost at the same time they fired and shot down two Keltharians..Since the outpost was alert to their presence the Keltharians started charging at the outpost, then Keelos yelled out, "Now!"

As Keelos yelled out the rest of the soldiers ran out from the outpost firing at the enemy's flank, Raff and Kraw came running over to Kastor and Keelos and started to set up heavy guns.

The Keltharians still charging forward had shot a few of the soldiers injuring them, Kastor and Keelos popped up again shooting down two more Keltharians, with the heavy guns set up Kraw and Raff started firing heavily at the Keltharians.

With the fire too great the Keltharians dived in the dirt taking cover, with the Keltharians now suppressed Kastor yelled out and ordered some soldiers to carry the injured inside.

Pulling out his assault rifle Keelos hopped over the wall and started charging the enemy position, with Kastor following the rest of the soldiers had started to do the same thing.

With the heavy guns blasting the Keltharians who popped out were shot down, getting right next to their postition Kastor threw a flash grenade towards the trench, with the Keltharians temporary blind and deaf the soldiers jumped in shooting down every Keltharian in sight.

5 minutes later they were dragging the remains of the Keltharians into a pile and set fire to it, regrouping in the outpost there were a few soldiers injured and one of them had been killed.

Walking over to the medical team Kastor said, "Theres a few injured soldiers and i'd appreciate it if you could check them out, then you can return to your beds if you want"

The medical team ran over to the soldiers and carried them off to look at them, Kastor figuring he should get rest started walking over to his bed but stopped next to Keelos and Kraw..Looking at them both he said, "Good job out there guys"..Then started heading back over to his bed, laying down he was out like a light waiting for the order to charge the capital

Keelos laid back down trying to get some sleep before they made the push for the capital. Knowing he would lose more good men in that fight.

Starting a tally he had lost three so far, two dead and the other wounded. That not being bad as some units losses, but to Keelos one was to many.

"Bantha Company Squad two report." Keelos' com-link said.
"Second Squad, Squad leader Keelos reporting."
"Ah Keelos glad to hear your voice. I'll be stopping by at noon tomorrow to brief you and your squad on your objectives in the push."
"Roger, we'll be ready."
"Good, Bantha CP out." Keelos layed back down and closed his eyes.
"Sir who was that?" scout asked.
"CP Briefing at noon." Keelos replied with out moving. Before he could hear scouts reply he was asleep.

As light broke, the soldiers of the 56th and 23rd Legions and the 5th Armoured Division began their final push to the Capital. It was merely but a few hundred kilometres away and Major Darklighter was hoping to be in the city centre by night fall. But he knew this would not be made easy by the Keltharians.

The 3rd Battle Group had reached their destination, near to Gorgon. It was felt necessary to not advance on them until the victory upon Kelthar had been acheived as the 2nd Battle Group, would be pulled straight out of Kelthar and replaced with an occupying force.

The Black Knights had been placed on red alert, flying constant Combat Patrols along with other squadrons around the 3rd Battle Group. Dake hadn't seen a fleet of such size in years, he was extremely proud to be serving within such a fleet.

As Kastor and his squad were walking behind masses of soldiers and vehicles he raised his hand infront of his face the shield the light of the sun, getting back under the shade of some trees Kastor looked around and said to his squad, "Finnaly were moving towards the capital, this is going to be a tough fight, but our forces will crush the Keltharians eh boys?"

The squad yelled back with a loud cheer, smiling Kastor ran up a jumped on the back of one on the vehicles carrying artillery, looking back Kastor laughed at his squad as they tried to catch up while the vechicle gained speed.

A few minutes later Kastor jumped off then said into his com-link, "Haha, with running like that the Keltharians will eat you for dinner! Im just up ahead i jumped off so I want to see you run like a man so move!".

Slowly walking forward Kastor turned around when he heard his squad running up behind him Kastor sarcasticly said, "Finally, i was getting tired of waiting".

Looking around Kastor turned back to his squad and said, "Alright we have been walking for a while, so if you wanna rest your legs or get a drink or something now is the time to do that, you guys got five minutes".

Standing there Kastor watched his squad, some men went and rested on some rocks cause their legs were hurting from the walking, others just stood and talked, Kastor streched his legs then sat down on a nearby rock and pulled out his flask of water.

Taking a long drink he then put the cap back on and put it on his belt, standing there for a moment he looked down at his watch and shouted, "You guys got One more minute so start gettin' ready!"

Keelos and his squad left the outpost and moved along side a pair of tanks. followed closly by an APC. They where to provide infantry cover for the tank pair. When they aquired wounded or needed rest they would climb aboard the APC for rest. "Keelos." one of the tank commanders said.

"Yes?"

"Where thirty clicks from the rendevous point. Why don't y'all get in the APC and rest up we will let you know if something happens."

"Roger. Squad mount up The APC, lets get some rest." Keelos said as he paused long enough for the APC to pull along side. The drive opened the side hatch. After everybody had hopped aboard he set a two hour watch rotation from the top mounted gun.
pRetty soon he began to doze.

"Sir" Scout said waking Keelos up. Sitting up in the cramped APC " We've arrived at our destination."
"Good lets dismount and se what we need to do. to get those pillboxes taken out." Keelos hopped out of the APC, and walked up to the lead tank.
"We can't get through there until those dragon's teeth are cleared." The tanks commander said
" Can you blast them out with you main cannon?" Keelos asked. THe commander nodded and the tank fired, the recoil nearly knocking Kraw over. The round hit one tooth dead on, when the smoke cleared it remained. "Looks like nope, and now the pill boxes know we are here."
Kraw walked up "We need to get in side on and work from there."
"True" Keelos replied. "Lets get as close as we can with out exposing ourselves and see what we need to do." he said as he began to walk to the near by tree line.

Night had fallen on the planet, with the Keltharian capital just ahead you could feel the un-easyness of the situation, Kastor and his squad stood at the treeline just outside of the city as did most of the army, looking around Kastor spotted atleast 5 turrets at first glance, he thought to himself, "Hmm, we need to get rid of the turrets before we can charge, and im sure they will have turrets on all sides."

Kastor then said, "Alright then, we'll blow them out of the sky..Raff use your binoculars and get me the coordinates of the biggest guns you can see..the rest of you set up mortars and help the armoured unit unload artillery."

The squad nodded and headed out to their assigned tasks..Kastor started moving mortars of the truck and placed them across the treelines, Raff tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Sir, there are 4 large guns i seen at these coordinates we should take out the most powerful ones first so the vechicles can cover us."

Kastor looked at the writing and said, "Just what i was thinking."
Walking over to the guys incharge of the artillery he said, "Okay we got 4 large gun batteries at these coordinates and we need to take them out, you guys focus on these two guns here im going to radio another unit and have them blast the other two."

The soldiers nodded then proceeded to load up the artillery with shells, Kastor then said into his com-link, "Calling all artillery, this is Kastor Onari of the Red Fist, we have located large turrets on the North side..we need artillery strikes at this location *Gives coordinates of other two guns*

Kastor heard crackling over the com-link, "Roger roger Kastor we read you loud and clear give us the signal when to fire."

Kastor turned to the other soldiers and said, "Okay load up them mortars and line them up along the trees, after the artillery hits its up to you guys to shell the smaller turrets got it?"

The soldiers yelled, "Yes sir!"..Kastor then walked over to the tank commanders and said, "Okay guys. when i give the signal go charging out there and kill anything thats not mandalorian got it?"

One of the commanders said, "You got bud."..Turning around they climed in and prepped their tanks for battle, Kastor looking around thought to himself, "Alright the stage is set, now its time to go and take that city."

Kastor walked over to the mortars, grabbed one, loaded it and walked over to the treeline..He grabbed his com-link and said, "Fire on the turrets now!"

Louds bangs were heard echoing threw the jungle, then serveral loud explosions devestated the north side of the city, then Kastor yelled, "Mortars fire now!"

Mortar shells went off and flew threw the air exploding and taking out several smaller turrets, with the last of the explosions going off the tanks rumbled threw the forest crashing through trees towards the entrance, with the tanks charging hundreds of soldiers went charging behind them towards the entrance of the city.

Kastor started running to the city and yelled, "Come on boys!..For Mandalore!"

Major Darklighter ordered the imediate advance of the 56th and 23rd Legion and 5th Armoured Division to take the city imediately. While these was taking place the starships of the 2nd Battle Group were orderd take out the mortor posistions and any armoured Keltharian units that would counterattack on the Mandalorian forces through the use of Orbital Bombardments.

Dake flicked his Mantha fighter around the Conqueror, he was awaiting news of the battle on Kelthar. He believed it was long over due for a Mandalorian Campaign although he guessed that it was a tough fight.

"Knight form up" He said over his COM link, "We should be going in for some RnR soon. All fighters report in" Then over the COM link came the voices of the members of the Black Knights.

After recieving the message that the city would be charged imediatly he ordered charges placed on the Dragons teeth. "Sir the only problem with that plan is who ever goes out there will be exposed." stated Scout.
"I know thats, why we prep the charges here and have the fastest run place them. Sorry, Dake thats you." Keelos replied
"I figured that."

Moments later the charges had been primed and Dake was ready to place them. He had removed his aromour to make himself lighter.
"Ready?" Keelos asked.
"As I'll ever be" Dake said nervously.
"Ready... Set... Go!" Keelos screamed.
Dake began to run, as he ran he zigged and zagged. The dirt began to be kicked up as the blaster bolts thudded near his feet.
After what felt like and eternity to Keelos, Dake placed the charges. He turned and began to run for the rest of the squad. When he got to the half way point he fell. Keelos couldn't tell if he was shot or what. "Set those charges of now!!"

Kastor and his squad had just breached the city walls when all of a sudden a rocket flew out and destroyed a tank, Kastor yelled, "Take cover!"

Peeking out the corner Kastor seen several Keltharians in a bunker armed with turrets and rocket launchers, unable to move under the fire Kastor turned on the com-link and said, "This is Kastor Onari, our forces are being destroyed at the north gate here, we need an orbital strike on this bunker!"

A voice returned saying, "Alright Onari the strike is prepped and ready give us the coordinates of your target"

Kastor grabbed his binoculars a peeked out and quickly jotted it down, he grabbed the com-link and said, "Alright command i got the coordinates they are *gives coordinates*."

Quickly Kastor said into his com-link, "Everybody near the north side..take cover!"

Within a few seconds a faint whistle of air was heard then serveral very loud explosions shook the city with deadly force, buildings crumbled under the immense force of the explosions, Kastor heard Keltharians screaming as their buildings toppled onto them.

Sitting there for a bit, everything was calm..Kastor looked around then yelled, "Onwards!..The city isn't ours yet!"

The explosives went off. " Cover me." Keelos yeld as he ran out after Dake. Either the Keltharians where shocked by the explosion or they were really slow, because he made it all the way to Dake and had him nearly across is shoulders before they began to fire.
Gettting back to the relative saftey of the trees he asked what happened.
" My knee gave out, I think. let me walk and see if its better."
"No, for the time being you need to stay of it. Carry him to the APC." Doc said before anyone could think.
" Orbitting ships this is Squad two of bantha company we need an orbital barrage of the following coordinates." Keelos said into his comm.
" Ok, give us the coordinates."Replied one of the ships.
"They are gives coordinates"

Moments later the ground shook as the heavy rounds hit the ground. "Thanks." Keelos said after he checked the ships handy work.
"Glad to help." Replied the same person as before

Kastor and his squad had stopped to take a rest in a nearby bunker that had been cleared out, taking a moment to rest Kastor sat down and took a drink of water.

Looking over to his squad he said, "We are getting close to the heart of the city where the main force of Keltharians are so this battle is going to get alot harder."..Kastor then looked at the time and said, "The sun should be rising soon, we should catch an hour or two of rest and continue forward."

Looking up to see if his squad agreed he noticed that half of them were already asleep, Kastor let out a laugh then laid down trying to get comfortable, and within a minute or two he was out.

His alarm went off two hours later, waking up he looked around..Kastor was suprised that he and his squad slept threw all the shots and explosions in the distance.

Kastor stood up looked around then picked up a Keltharian rifle then smashed it against the wall making a loud bang waking up his squad, Kastor looked out the window and said, "Rise and shine girls."

Stepping out of the bunker Kastor watched the other soldiers marching towards the heart of the city, Kastor said to his squad, "Shall we?"

And they started to walk with the rest of the soldiers towards the main Keltharian base.

Major Darklighter had been on the front line of the advance since it began several hours ago. He was certainly pleased about the progress that they had made but wanted them to take the city now rather than later.

Meanwhile near Gorgon, the Black Knights were back on board the Conqueror. Not for some RnR but for briefing and to look over the plans for gaining air suppiority as soon as the the 2nd Battle Group was down with Kelthar. Dake had already seen all this information but he had to sit down with the squadron watching a broadcast by the Admiral of the 3rd Battle Group.

About an hour had passed, The main Mandalorian force had started to assault the main base and in Kastor's eyes victory was just a blaster shot away.

Kastor and his men were under heavy fire, running for cover behind a building he looked back to see two of his soldiers gunned down by turrets..The Keltharians had lots of heavy weaponry set up in the area with several explosions and blaster shots in every direction.

Kastor peeked around the edge of the building using his binoculars to spot how many Keltharians were on the turrets that gunned down his men, counting five Keltharians Kastor went back behind the building and grabbed a sniper from one of his soldiers.

Waiting for the fire to die down just a bit he popped out and shot down two Keltharians, quickly returning to safety the fire quickly increased at his area..Kastor was about to peek out when a loud explosion went off and there was a loud and powerful vibration against the building..One of Kastor's soldiers said, "Sir a rocket has just hit the building, it can't take much more punishment before it falls!"

Kastor nodded then peeked out and shot two more Keltharians and yelled out, "Thats for Johnny and Omar!"..But as Kastor yelled he was struck in the left shoulder by a blast from the turret.

Kastor groaned in pain and rolled behind the building, Raff ran over to Kastor and yelled, "Medic!"..As Raff yelled another rocket hit the building this time making parts of the structure crumble.

Quickly a pair of medics grabbed Kastor and put him inside of an armoured transport, Kastor looked down to see a big gaping hole in his shoulder..Quickly a medic yelled to Kastor, "Don't look at it! Just concentrate on breathing!"

Kastor tried to do what the medic told him but the pain was so great he had lost conciousness.

Waking up in a cold sweat Kastor regained conciousness in the vehicle, looking around the medics were looking at him and said, "Well look whos up!..Your lucky we had bacta in here or that shoulder would have been pretty nasty!"

Kastor looked down at his arm to see it almost completely healed, still unable to move his left arm that well though.

Kastor quickly said, "How long was i out for!?"..The Medic replied, "Probably about an hour they are making the final push for the base as we speak..But don't you think of going out there in this condition your not well enough to fight yet."

Kastor stood up and said, "I don't care i'll just use my right arm!..Im not gunna sit here while the rest of the army gets to take the base!..and besides my squad needs me."

The medic replied, "Listen buddy if you wanna go out there and die, then thats your problem."

Kastor rolled his eyes then grabbed his armour and put it on, quickly he ran out to see the area he had been shot at had been cleared already..Kastor thought, "Damn I'd better catch up or I'm never going to hear the end about this from Raff".

Kastor then grabbed his com-link and said, "Raff!..where are you guys?"..Raff replied, "Well..Look who's up!..I'll send you our location..and i got some bad news..Shane and Kolus were shot down just after you got hit."

Kastor sighed and said, "Damn, they were good soldiers..Im on my way Onari out".

Several hours after clearing the road of the dragons teeth, Keelos and he men stopped as they waited for the tanks to replenish their ammo.
"Sir you don't have to leave me here, my leg is fine." Dake said in protest.
"No, that bruise says other wise." Keelos stated.
"Were ready to go." The lead tank commander said.
"Lets m...."
"Please, Sir" Dake asked interupting Keelos.
"Fine get in the APC gun turret and stay there. Lets move."

Before long most of the squad was kneelled behind on of the tanks as the tanks pounded buildings off their foundations. "Keelos, on of the buildings is fortified. We can't knock it out, we need you to go in there and clear it."
"Roger. Ladies we are needed. Tanks lay down supressing fire."
As Keelos ran from behind the tank, he was deafend by the tanks guns rittling the building they needed cleared with blaster rounds. Kraw passed up Keelos and Kickedthe door the knocking it down.
As Keelos reached the door an explosion knocked him flat on his back.

Kastor had finnally reached his squad, the Keltharian forces had started to be run down now as most of them were in the main part of the city at their last few bases.

Kastor crouched down behind a wall and said to his squad, "We got snipers up on those buildings over there..We are going to need to take them out first!"..Kastor watched as Raff grabbed his rifle and carefully aimed and shot one sniper down.

Quickly they jumped back down when shots flew right over their heads from one of the bases infront of them, Kastor looked at Raff and said, "Get me a distraction i'll go clear that bunker!"

Raff nodded and then Raff and the squad proceeded to fire at the bunker and throw grenades near it to draw the fire. Kastor ran over to one of the supply trucks and grabbed a flamethrower.

Quickly he ran over to the side of the building and peeked over to see no Keltharians in sight..He ran down the side of the building till he was right beside the bunker, Kastor took a deep breath then kicked open the door and began shooting flames into the bunker.

Kastor could hear the Keltharians scream as they were burnt to a crisp and Kastor just proceeded to walk into the bunker further igniting every Keltharian in sight.

He stopped firing and dropped his flamethrower and grabbed his rifle, he walked through the bunker shooting any Keltharians not dead from the fire, Kastor picked up his com-link and said to his squad, "Alright i've cleared this bunker here..Inform the rest of the troops so we can get set up here..The Keltharians only have 3 more bunkers and their main base left..we can finish this war today..So lets do it!"

Kastor and his squad had made their way further into the city, There was only two bases left, One on the north side and the other on the south side. Kastor looked at the Keltharian base up ahead to see it heavily fortified, the tanks wouldn't be able to do any damage, and something was jamming the communications to order an orbital strike.

Kastor looked through his binoculars to get a better look at the defences, They had several anti-infantry and anti-tank turrets. Quickly he dived back behind the wall as shots came his way from the turret, Kastor figured they would need to snipe off a few of the soldiers on the turrets before they could make any progress, but it was going to be difficult to even be able to stay out long enough to get out a shot.

Kastor sighed and said, "Well we are going to need a distraction before any of us will be able to get off a shot before we get gunned down."

A soldier came running into the room saying, "Sir a group of tanks and some soldiers are trying to charge the base!"..Kastor said, "They will be gunned down before they get there!..Bahh everyone grab a sniper this is our chance, maybe we can save a few of them."

Explosions tore across the battlefield as a few tanks exploded, Kastor and his squad along with other soldiers all took up different spots wth long-range snipers, Kastor adjusted his strap and said, "Fire at will!"

Shots flew across the land towards the base some of them hitting some Keltharians, more Mandalorians were being gunned down as they ran at the base fearlessly.

Kastor took aim at a Keltharian in an anti-infantry turret and squeezed the trigger, the shot flew across and nailed him in the forehead killing him. Kastor yelled out, "Yeah!" as the shot connected.

Most of the outter turrets had been shot down, Kastor said, "Alright boys..Its now over never..For Mandalore!"

Kastor and his squad had started to run across the battlefield going to join the remaining force up there..And withing moments the whole army in that area had started to run at the base, Atleast 1,000 Mandalorian soldiers were running at the base, alot of them would be gunned down by the still intact turrets.

Kastor was running along side a tank when he jumped ontop of it, looking at the base which was just up ahead, And finnally the forces had reached the base, masses of soldiers began to run to the entrance guns blazing.

Kastor knew they would take this base as the Mandalorians beat them in numbers and skill, Kastor grabbed the Mandalorian flag off the tank and ran into the base waving it in the air hoping for the best...

**Trap** Keelos said as he rolled on to is stomach to pick him self up. The blast not only knocked him on is back it had riped his helmet of his head. Kraw was knocked uncounsious by the blast, but alive.
Seeing his helmet a dozen yards a way he diecided to go clear the building before he retrieved his helmet. He ran up the stairs and found his squad trying to clear a room. Removing a thermal detenator from his belt and tossed it in to the room it went off, Killing the keltharians in side. They preceded to the next door, it was closed. Keelos signaled to his squad that they were to do a breach. One of his squad members kicked in the door and Keelos along with three others ran in, Keelos shot two before he reached a table. He flipped the table to block any possible incoming fire. There was none. In minutes the rest of the building was cleared. "Building clear" Keelos said into his com-link.
"Roger"


When Keelos's squad had caught up with most of the mandalorian army they were preparing to charge the main base.

Keelos waited at the trunk for the change of the guards. this is when the the most Kletharians. would be the weakest. ** Five minutes** The forces surrounding the base had made constant probes. Thats not what is needed to be done. "Sir?" Kraw whispered.
"What"
" Run over the plan once again the replacements don't understand."
" When the guards change I kill them and draw an incoming fire. You will run to the base wall and set up the charges 10 meters a part. Half way back you will detonate teh charges. causeing a 10 meter hole for entry. GOt it?"
"Yes sir." one of the replacments said.
**Replacment, Ill be suprised if one makes it back alive.** Keelos said as he looked back through his scope. "Time he said out loud everybody got ready.

The new gaurds stepped up onto the wall and Keelos let his shots fly. Before the turrets could open fire, Keelos had twelve keltharians down, and turned his attention to the turrets.
When the turrets opened up Kraw and the replacements ran for the wall. one turret saw them and turned its attention towards them. With three well placed shots the turret fell silent. Unfortunatley he wasn't fast enough and one of the replacements took a couple dozen rounds to the back, and slide to a stop.

The order was issued by Major Darklighter to take the final stronghold in the centre of the Keltharian Capital and claim the planet for Mandalore. It was rumoured that many of the brave legionnaires of the 56th and 23rd Legion and 5th Armoured Division would be given Medals Of Mandaore, the highest medal that can awarded to an entire division.

After listening to the briefing by the 3rd Battle Group Admiral, the view screens switched to reports of the ongoing battle on Kelthar. Followed by a message by one of Mandalore's advisors.

The time had come, All of the Mandalorians were at the final Keltharian stronghold. And this was to be the bloodiest battle yet, Heavy gun turrets both anti-infantry and anti-vehicle had been set up.

All the soldiers were waiting for the order to charge to be given, Mandalorian artillery were set up to weaken down the defences but it wouldn't help much as the base was heavily fortified.

The Keltharian leader was somewhere in his base..Kastor wondered what it was like to know your death was imminent. Kastor quickly cleared his mind and got focused, Kastor went over and filled up his ammo..He tried to move his arm around to loosen it up but his shoulder still was stiff and sore.
