I would like to focus on his late exploits. For example: What the hell was he doing during NJO? I only (so far) have seen his name mentioned in Force Heretic I.

Kyle Katarn has appeared in NJO and also in Dark Nest. In the NJO his actions aren't really explained much. We know he is a Jedi Master and was off fighting, but that is about all we know.

In Dark Nest his role is a bit bigger actually. He is on the Jedi Council and is basically Corran Horn's lackey on the council, supporting Horn and Cal Omas against Kyp Durron, who didn't support Cal Omas because Cal Omas was trying to control the Jedi Order. I think he also fought in the last battle in The Swarm War as well. I could be wrong about that though.

The story was in Tales #21 (collected in Volume 6). It was called "Equals and Opposities" . . . and I wrote the frelling thing!

I think there's potential for another Jedi Knight game. It's high time the Star Wars gaming industry took a risk and delved into things people wouldn't know about from just the movies. Like a game set during the Yuuzhan Vong war.

A new Jedi Knight game should definitely keep Kyle as the played character though. Jedi Academy was fun and all but Jaden Korr lacks that special something that Kyle has. Does the player character have to be young? Are we that agist? Call it Jedi Knight IV: Jedi Master.

The game would definitely have to deviate from its shooter roots and become something new of its own I think, though. A shooter engine makes the lightsaber combat greatly limited and playing Kyle Katarn as a Jedi Master ought to have plenty of masterful lightsaber skills available to the player.

A novel would be good too. But I think video games are Kyle's territory and that's where he'll likely stay.

Do anyone know of any comics, books or even fan sites where the story of Kyle Katarn is told? I would love to learn more of this character, I have seen some cut scenes from the games and they all seemed interesting. But I don't want to play the games. I have tried to play them but I got bored very fast, I would rather read about him then play him.
