Colors of the Jedi Starfighter/Interceptor

Can someone explain me what do the colors of the Jedi Starfighters & Jedi Interceptors stand for.

Anakin's
Eta-2=yellow
Eta-2=green
Obi-Wan's
Delta-7=red
Eta-2=red
Eta-2=blue
Plo's
Delta-7=blue

Are they pilot ranks? or what?

I doubt that they are just colors that don't mean anything because the Jedi would not paint they fighters just so they would look good.

As part of the Republic (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Galactic_Republic)'s Judicial Department (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Judicial_Department), the starfighters owned by the Jedi Order (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi) were colored in the red and white hues that represented the diplomatic immunity that the Jedi enjoyed.

While most Jedi pilots flew Eta-2s more in line with the factory standard, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Obi-Wan_Kenobi), whose fighters were red- or blue-hued against a white undercoat, some chose to customize theirs with unorthodox color schemes.

No, I'm quite sure that those colors don't mean anything. For one, Jedi don't really have ranks. For two, there is no two. Thirdly, the jedi probably chooses their favorite color or just get a random color.
