remember the AOTC CD? remember the track called "The Arena"? well, that's supposed to be the music for the Geonosis execution arena in Episode II, but, for some reason, the music actually present in the movie is temp-tracked music from Episode I...... =S I wonder why Lucas did this... the original music John Williams composed was very cool and military-like... but he instead decided to use music from TPM... T_T (oh yeah, BTW, this music was used in Episode III in the scene in which Anakin marches with the clones into the Jedi Temple =D) any comments? =P

Yes, that one was of my favorite tracks of the AOTC soundtrack (although it sounded more like an Indiana Jones track) and I was very disappointed when it didn't showed up in the movie. I was even more surprised when it was used in the menus of the AOTC DVD when it wasn't used in the movie. I was very glad that it finally was used in ROTS (and I mentioned it in my review of ROTS (http://www.galacticsenate.com/showthread.php?p=611231)).

yeah, I was also pretty surprised to hear the theme in the AOTC DVD menu... and I felt it really didn't belong in the ROTS scene... I mean, it sounds good, but Lucas should have put something like the Imperial march in that scene, something more dark and "evilish" =S

Thanks! Yes, a variation of the Imperial March would've been nice.

Also the credits music is different at the very end.


Anakin's theme; Across the Stars and Vaders theme appear in succession and it's sooo haunting; but in the movie it' just Across the stars.

Plus, you get to hear some quiet Vader breathing sounds at the very tail end of the credits, which is soooooo cool.

Could've sworn I heard it at the end of AOTC, but you may be right, it might've been TPM.

The other thing I didn't find too well done; was the way "Zam and the Chase through Coruscant" was cut up in the film; I think as a complete piece on the Soundtrack it's amazing.


I did like that the last track of the Soundtrack "Confrontation with Dooku" is slightly altered in the film to include the Emperor's theme.
