Guess what? There will be a Clone Wars cartoon airing this fall! Isn't that great?!

Just got back from seeing Daredevil.

Great completely psycho villian, decent story, some nice action peices, cameos from Stan Lee and Kevin Smith. It's was defineately a worthy effort, and definately worth my $5:50 especially with that gorgeous X-2 trailer.

They do give hints of a sequel at the end, but I doubt it will ever happen, of course I doubted that Spiderman would be as popular a flick as it was.

THERES GOING TO BE A NEW STAR WARS CARTOON MINISERIES AIRING ON CARTOON NETWROK THIS FALL.

It seems that the creator for Samurai Jack and Dexter's Laboratory on Cartoon Network (Genndy Tartakovsky) will work with George Lucas to create a Star Wars cartoon mini-series. They will be around 20 of them and they will appear in between regularly programmed episodes. Pretty cool, huh?

At first glance, the artwork may appear distortional, but if youve ever caught an episode of Samurai Jack (Ive seen maybe two of them) then I think youd be excited to see the different storylines and scenes they will create. The series will be based on the Clone Wars and will cover from exactly the point where episode II left off--follwoing the Geonosis conflict. Should be interesting.

The kids started a petition to release a known child killer from prison, and ended up in a scheme to stop George Lucas and Steven Spielberg from doing a "Special Edition" of Raiders.

The kids made up a "Death Star Attack" plan on Gl's house, broke in, stole the original negatives to the film, GL caught them took the film back, kids tried to talk him into giving them the film back.

"There's is still good in you Mr. Lucas, do the right thing."

"It's too late for me boys."

Anyhoo, in the end the new supre spectacular version of Raiders premiered and the boys (all tied up against pillars just as Indy and Marion in Raiders) as Lucas, Spielberg, and Francis Ford Coppola performed a ceremony, buring the original negatives inside the Ark of the Covenant. The film then started, the children closed their eyes refusing to look, and to the shock and horror of everyone, theier were Ewoks added to the beginning of the movie chasing Indy in the Temple!!!! Spirits appeared out of the film, Lucas melted, Coppolla melted, Spielberg blew up..........

Nerfer, to agree and add to your comment, in most cases, statistically, if a missing kid is not found within the first 24-48 hours, it is usually a sure sign that he/she will not be found alive. I believe I read that several months ago either in reference to this case, or another case like it. That Elizabeth was found alive this long after being abducted, is as statistically unrealistic as it is miraculous. To paraphrase Tyler Durdin: "Tomorrow she will see the most beautiful sunrise she has ever seen, and enjoy a breakfast tastier than you or I have ever tasted."

Javen, according to her little sister, who was in the bedroom when the man climbed through the window and abducted Elizabeth, he told her to come with him and stay quiet or he would kill her. He was a maintainance worker who had once worked for the family for few days time.

I don't write or call any of my age old friends, not even family. A lot of people here on the boards may think me unsocial and even rude, for not having my AIM on (which I don't have anymore anyway) to have chats, or talk to people more who have contacted me on ICQ, ect., but I tend to be withdrawn and reclusive to deep chats of late. I do a lot of posting but that's about it. I've read that clinically depressed people are like that, avoiding others and keeping to themselves to a degree, and I have done that to a great degree, fitting into the pattern exhibited by the legion of deeply depressed peeps.


By the by, on a completely unrelated topic, I saw The Life of David Gale tonight, and then Bring Down the House. The 2nd movie was pretty good, and very funny, but the first one was a powerhouse of a film with an ending that was mindblowing. I so highly recomend The Life of David Gale now, for it is a film I will not soon forget. Wow, is all I can think of to say at this point. I have for the past few years considered Kevin Spacey one of my favorite actors, but now I need to include Kate Winslet in that category as well, as one of the best actresses I've seen in a long while.

I actually skimmed TG last night, (reading only the "personal" parts...I won't spoil it), and cried my freaking eyes out. I was very surprised. this, like "Rogue Planet" is a deceptively short and simple book. But it packs a huge punch. Well...I won't spoil things, but I will give one plot summary that will make you want to read it!

Apparently, according to the author (this si one of those :linking the boks with films things that I love about the Eu in its better moments) Shmi kept a journal after Anakin left, in the hopes that one day he'd be able to know hoe she lived until he rescued her. It goes from the time she went back to the shop wne he left, to the time the Sandoeople raided the farm and when she was taken captive. She didn't have time to run back to the houise so she dropped it, and one of Beru's friends found it and kept it..I think. Leia and Han (they are arguing about having kids, she doesn't want any, he does)newly married, have a mission to go to tatooine and Leia ends up statying at the old Skywalker farm, now cared for by Biggs's family, and she finds the journal. We are taken through the journal on a paralle plotline through the whole novel, (the part that made me cry the most, I think, was the wonderful tale of her romance with Cleigg Lars and how he freed and married her) and how Annie's little friends always visited her hut for news of him until she left for the farm. God, FLOOD BUCKETS. This was the equivalent to Peter Jackson's fleshing out the "death" of Gandlaf and the death scene of Boromir in FOTR.

PS Leia later meets that very same friend of beru, who owns an inn, and she tells Leia basically everything that happens to Anakin in AOTC. She knows from local folklore (including people who were in contact with the Sandpoeple), she ends up going to all the places Anakin went to. It was wonderful, seeing her react to the event s of her family's past, and how this changes her. Hoe this linked up with the new films.

PPS I have just been reading about the antiwar protests worldwide today. I could weep. No matter how you feel, it was heartbreaking. The most poignant thing I read was 2000 people who gathered in front of the UN embassy in Beirut, with signs that read "America, why do you hate us? Why do you want to kill us?" nothing about the Great Satan, or Israel, or any slogan. Just a simple statement. That could have been from Saddam's rent a crowd, but it also could have been from simple families in the street, who may hate Arafat. And they weren't Iraqis.

I think another thing that fuels the sense of despair, and the size of the crowds, is the fact that they know that we will be crossing a benchmark once we start this war, UN approval or not. They are afriad of what we will become. What kind of country. America has always stood out like a beacon to the world, no matter its flaws, I think no matter how ppl felt, always, it may have given them hope. After WWII America was a great thing to a lot of people, and symbol of democracy, freedom, and all those "boring" words. Now they see that may be changed...

They are afraid, not so much of us in a superpower sense (though some will be idiotic enough to listen their media and believe we are a danger directly) but of us in another sense...

I realize this is an extremly partisan statement on my part, and I promise I will shut up in here on this....but I am thinking of Rome's German campaign, or Athenian Greece's Sicilian campaign..(I'm a history nut,)

I hope ppl ignore this post actually. I had to get this off my chest.

It is an awesome book! I read it earlier in the week.

What makes it stand out for me is that it isn't really about the action that takes place around the characters, its more the action that takes place in Leia's mind so to speak.

The book is about a personal journey Leia has to make to move on with her life. I loved it! It was nice to see some character development, to see a different journey from Luke's in respect to their father. Luke got to speak to Anakin before he died, he was able to see him as Anakin and not Vader. Leia never got that, so to come to a conclusion she had to take a much more different journey than Luke's and it was nice to read about it.

Plus the author really got a feel for the desert landscape, the books moves on in a pace befitting its setting, but I never really got bored, it flows very naturally and I couldn't put it down.

I know!! I'm soooo excited I hope I can talk Moo into getting it, he wasn't too impressed with the first release, he was hoping for something fresher. The track is very Linkin Park and I have to agree some of the lyrics were a bit cheesy.

But I don't think that will be indicative of the album. I think they let out a safe first release so to speak, and any experimenting they may have done will be on other tracks.

I'm soooo looking forward to it!!! And my Zelda game comes out on the 26th as does the new gameboy, which I probably won't be getting. Money issues!
