This is also a hit off the official SW Forums.

Here's how it works:

You ask a question you know the answer to.
Someone answers your question.
If it's right, you get to ask a question! If not, the question still stands.

I'll start it off with a simple question:

Who commanded the Executor before the Battle of Hoth?

Darth Massacrus
09-25-2006, 12:01 AM
Massacrus here. During the Executors consturction, it was supervised by Admiral Amise Griff. Admiral Kendall Ozzel assumed command after Griff's demise, and was succeeded by Captain/Admiral Firmus Piett. When Piett was made admiral, Captain Kallic took over as Executors Captain, though Piett used it as his flagship for Death Squadron. When Executor was destroyed with all hands aboard at Endor, only a few Tie fighters and escape pods from it could have had a chance of surviving. A sad end to a noble ship. Hope those answers satisfy you! By the way, what do I win?

You get to ask a question!

Massacrus here. Question: name the two Imperial Dignitaries seen in the Throne Room in ROTJ.

It's one of the following right?

Janus Greejatus, Sim Aloo, Ars Dangor and Kren Blista-Vanee.

Darth Massacrus
09-25-2006, 01:34 AM
two of them are right. And all were on the Death Star 2 at some point.

Darth Massacrus
09-25-2006, 10:20 AM
I know of many 'Emperors Right Hands'. Among the ones that are on the Death Star 2 are Janus Greejatus, Sim Aloo, Ars Dangor, Sate Pestage, Kren Blista Vanee, Sly Moore, Grand Admiral Nial Declaan, Grand Admiral Osvald Teshik, Grand Admiral Miltin Takel, and Grand Admiral Afsheen Makati. As for Emperors Hands( a completely unique and separate rank/title) there is Mara Jade, Lumiya, Arden Lyn, Maarek Steele, Sarcev Quest, Jeng Droga, and others. Of the dignitaries on the Death Star 2, Janus Greejatus, Sim Aloo, and Nial Declaan were Force Sensitive, this being revealed in the Dark Side Sourcebook for Aloo and Greejatus( there is a really creepy image of them with a caption that states them to be among the Dark Side Adepts and being in possession of a talisman and having proficiency in Sith Alchemy) and Declaan was stated in the Grand Admirals article by Dan Wallace and Abel Pena as being a Dark Side of the Force user who was skilled in Battle Meditation( which he used with Palpatine to aid the Imperial Fleet at Endor). All three perished when the Death Star erupted. Also of note for Aloo and Greejatus is that they were advisors to Chancellor Palpatine during the Clone Wars, which is starnge that they werent detected as Force-Sensitives by the Jedi. As for Sate Pestage, he HAD to have left the Death Star before its destruction, as he was on Coruscant when Palpatine and Vader perished at Endor, as he became haed of the Empire after the battle. Later he served the Emperor on Byss, as he had since Palpatines days as a Naboo politician. It is not known if he died when Byss was destroyed, though... As for Kren Blista-Vanee, he was simply an Advisor to the Emperor and like the othe digitaries, a member of the Ruling Council/Inner Circle. He did not survive Endor. Ars Dangor, an advisor/aide to Palpatine since the latter's days as a Senator from Naboo, was also a survivor of the Death Star 2s destruction and was active in Imperial affairs at least as recently as 11ABY. Sly Moore, who appears in the prequel along with Mas Ammedda as one of Palpatines cronies, is alleged to be among the Death Star Dignitaries, but I cannot find a source for this. The Trilogy Sourcebook from West End Games states that the Dignitaries are clothed in the traditional costumes of their homeworlds, and Sim Aloo wears Coruscant Headpieces, meaning that he is from Coruscant. Sate Pestage is almost certainly from Naboo, given his closeness with Palpatine, and the same can be said with reasonable certainty for Ars Dangor. The homeworlds of Greejatus and Blista-Vanee are not known. In the end of the scene in ROTJ, when the camera gives an overhead view of the group along with a sinister laughing sound, at least 7 dignitaries can be spotted in the group. In the novelization of ROTJ, it is stated that the dignitaries are cruel, lustful men and WOMEN, meaning that at least one of the unnamed dignitaries from the film is female( possibly Sly Moore?). If you have any questions, comments, complaints, other information, please let me know by replying to this message or by emailing me. Thank You.

Next question:name six of the Imperial officers seen in the Death Satr Conference Room in ANH.

Cydon
09-26-2006, 03:23 AM
I'll name all of them:

Tarkin, Vader, General Cassio Tagge, Admiral Motti, Chief Bast, Cass, Colonel Wullf Yularen, Tajis Durnam and someone unknown officers.

Darth Massacrus
09-26-2006, 04:25 PM
As Tarkin said to Raith Sienar in Rouge Planet: Bravo! You get to know about them. Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin had been an ally of Palpatine even when the latter was a Senator from Naboo, and when he was a functionary on Eriadu. Thier first acts of mutually beneficial evil were the Dorvalla lommite disputes and the murder of the Trade Federation Directorate which made Gunray and his Niemoidian bosses of the Trade Fed. These take place in perhaps the best Star Wars novel to date, Cloak of Deception. Read it at all costs. Lord Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, need no story told about him. General Cassio Tagge, a young but tactically adept Imperial Army General, was one of the few on the Death Star that had doubts about the security on the battlestation. Before the Battle, Tagge wisely rearranged the gunners aplhabetically, so as to better coordinate them in the event of battle. While this might seem to reduce effectiveness, how could it if a) all the batteries and guns on the Death Star had the same configuration, and b) if only the best gunners even got assigned to the Death Star, they would logically be able to handle any gun without the spelling of thier name affecting anything. Tagge perished when the Death tar was destroyed by the very flaw he had worried about. As for Major General Bast, he was an aide to Grand Moff Tarkin but also to Vader and was in charge of some of the staffing aboard the Death Star. He too, had concerns about the vulnerabiility of the trench, but like Tagge, was overruled by Tarkin and Motti. Bast had been a hunter in his youth, and had a keen tactical mind. When the Rebel attack began in the Yavin System, Bast prepared the Grand Moff's shuttle in case of a need to evacuate, and realized that, there WAS after his staff had analyzed the Rebel attack plan. When Tarkin refused to evacuate even temporarily, Bast and likely some of his staff who realized the danger used (probably) Tarkins shuttle and, risking death by firing squad or worse for desertion, left the Death Star shortly before it erupted. In fact, Bast was probably one of the few Imperials to witness the Death Stars destruction. He and those in his shuttle escaped the Yavin system, and Bast, rather than being executed for desertion, was promoted and made an aide to Darth Vader. He was seen in this capacity in the Star Wars Holiday Special. Curiously, he was likely the only survivor to know the reason behind the Death Stars destruction, and probavly told Palpatine himself of the flaw, as the designer of the Death Star, Bevel Lemelisk was told just a few days after Yavin of the flaw and its consequences by the Emperor. The ultimate fate of Bast, regrettably, has never been revealed. Moving on to Admiral Motti. Motti, a relative of Tarkins by marriage, was truly convinced of the Death Stars invincibilty to the point where he openly and foolishly insulted Vader about it when the Dark Lord said there were higher powers. Only the intervention of Tarkin saved his life. Later, Motti would talk to Tarkin about assassinating Vader and using the Death Star to take over the Empire once the Rebellion had been destroyed. Tarkin warned him that that smacked of treason, but asked him to elaborate when the Rebel Base was gone. This, though, never happenned.(Though I wish it HAD.) As for officer Cass, he is the white haired officer in the brown uniform that also later delivers the report to Tarkin about the Dantooine base. He seemed to have been one of the Troop commanders on the Death Star, as he did relay their report of the scouts on Dantooine, but he could have also been an aide to Tarkin, as in that position he could have done the same. He had to have perished when the Death Star blew up. As for Colonel Wullf Yularen, he is the officer in the white ISB uniform seated next to Motti. Yularen was very senior in the Imperial Security Bureau, and was assigned to the Death Star by Palpatine to watch for any sign of Rebellious or treasonous activity, particularly from Tarkin. In fact, Yularen was certain that Tarkin would do something treasonous, and was ready to act in the event, so that he could become head of ISB. This, like Motti's little plot, never came to pass, as Colonel Yularen died along with nearly everyone else on the Death Star. One of the two unidentified officers in the Conference room could very well be the Romodi mentioned in the same scene in the novelization. This is deduced by the fact that Romodi is said to have a heavily scarred and lined face, while one of the officers that has yet to be identified has what looks to be a somewhat scarred and lined face. Coincidence? I dont think we'll ever know for sure ( just like the ultimate fate of Bast). As for Tajis Durman, or whatever his name is spelled, he is one of the two troopers Stationed in the Conference Room at all times. Massacrus out.

Read it at all costs.

Already have.

Later, Motti would talk to Tarkin about assassinating Vader and using the Death Star to take over the Empire once the Rebellion had been destroyed. Tarkin warned him that that smacked of treason, but asked him to elaborate when the Rebel Base was gone. This, though, never happenned.

Where is this is info? I would be interested in getting the book/comic it's in. Anyway, heres my question:

Giles Durane was Leia's trainer.

Darth Massacrus
11-29-2006, 01:00 AM
okay: who was the earliest known Sith ruler?

Cydon
11-29-2006, 01:59 PM
14869

This guy?

Darth Massacrus
11-29-2006, 02:07 PM
I was careful with that term 'Sith Ruler'. I refer to none other than Adas, King of the Sith species during the Rakatan Invasion of Korriban in 27,700 BBY. Adas learned how to create holocrons from the Rakatans, and created the first Sith Holocron, which would pass through a series of owners, among them Garu, Freedon Nadd, Amanoa, and Lumiya. King Adas died lleading his people to victory against the invading Rakatans, and the Sith species retreated to Ziost, where they were found by the exiled Dark Jedi in 6900 BBY.

Darth Massacrus
12-01-2006, 04:23 PM

Cydon
12-01-2006, 04:27 PM
I stand corrected.

Darth Massacrus
12-01-2006, 04:32 PM
as for what drochs are, they are insects native to the planet Nom Chorios in the Meridian Sector of the galaxy. A notable feature about them is that they are the source of the Death Seed Plague, as they are the ones that carry it. Arguably, they are the main villain in the novel Planet of Twilight, along with ex Senator Seti Ashgad...

Cydon
12-01-2006, 04:35 PM
Yep. Don't want to get stuck in an alley with those guys. No questions Darth? Heres my question: Why is Darth not asking questions? Is he out of knowledge?

The Sword of Ajunta Pall.

Since you didnt get that, who is Ars Dangor, and attach a photograph if possible.

Braden Dar
01-30-2007, 03:13 PM
17721Ars Dangor was one of Palpatine's advisors during the Rebellion Era. He was present, according to some sources, on the Death Star II during the events of ROTJ.

Darth Massacrus
01-30-2007, 03:17 PM
Well done! heres some more info on Ars Dangor: he was one of Senator Palpatine's aides (along with Kinman Doriana and Sate Pestage), and during the Empire was known as the second of the Advisors, deferring only to Grand Vizier Sate Pestage. He was present among the dignitaries that accompanied Palpatine to the Death Star 2, but like Pestage, left either before or during the Endor Battle. He was still active in Imerial Affairs as recently as 11 ABY.

Darth Massacrus
01-30-2007, 03:18 PM
now you get to ask a question!

Braden Dar
01-30-2007, 03:19 PM
Name Iella Wessiri's husband and exlpain where he was for many years when presumed dead. This is EU of course, not from the films.

Darth Massacrus
01-30-2007, 03:22 PM
Of Course. Diric Wessiri was presumed dead due to the fact that Isard and or Imperial Intelligence had him.

Darth Massacrus
01-30-2007, 03:23 PM
Although, Wedge also became Iella's husband....

and he was presumed dead by some during the Bacta War and the Vong War at several times...

Braden Dar
01-30-2007, 03:38 PM

Ok, What are the Lightside and Darkside also known as?

There is no "Light side" or "Dark side," there is only the Force, and it is the users who are "Light" or "Dark," but even that is up for interpretation and speculation.

Darth Massacrus

How many sides of the force are there?

Darth Massacrus
02-05-2007, 07:05 PM
that would depend entirely on your viewpoint. Some say just a light and dark side. some say it depends on the user, rather than the tool. There are some who believe in aspects of both, but not fully in either. And there are different schools of thought on the application of the force, and on nhow much of a controlling factor it is. Can you please be a little more specific, or give a certain quota to fill for the answer?

Cassus Fett
02-05-2007, 08:08 PM
All i want is a number for your answer its quite an easy question. i have another so i'll ask you all again and ask the new one aswell.

1. How many sides of the force are there?

2. In what film was a map of Mars used and which planet did it represent?

1!

Cassus Fett

Ok, everyone has been wrong so here are the answers.

1. There are four sides of the force which are the following:
The light side: orthodox Jedi philosophy. The dark side: Sith philosophy, Potentium and the Unifying Force and The Living Force.
while there are four philosophical views which are:
The Greater and Lesser Force, Destiny and the Force, The Dark and Light side and the The Insidious Force.

2. Tatooine in TPM
