Starship Captain (DT)

[Cassus Fett]

Ok, this take place during the end of the Clone Wars. The basic idea is that your character will be a Captain of a Venator-class Star Destroyer or an Acclamator II-class Star Destroyer that will be part of a new taskforce created in the months leading up to the Second Battle of Coruscant. From here our taskforce will be apart of last major engagements between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Once the Galactic Republic has reformed into the Galactic Empire, characters will then be given the chance to advance in the ship that they command, many going on to control a Super Star Destroyer while other characters may wish to defect to the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

All Characters will carry the same rank, as Captain and you may wish to give your character some background into Commanding a starship either during the early days of the Clone Wars or before the Clone Wars.

My Character and Starship

Name: Jorran Falco

Background: Jorran Began his Career as a Starship Captain by commanding a Consular-class space cruiser, just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars. He commanded this starship during the first few months of the of the Clone Wars, when during a routine transport of diplomats that were on there way to attempt to find a peaceful solution then to the war, his ship was fired upon and severally damaged by Confederacy Forces. He managed to limp the ship back to Coruscant, where it eventually sub come to its damage and crashed on to the planets surface.

Jorran was then given the option to either command, a Venator-class or an Acclamator II-class. To which he choose the Venator-class, due to its larger size. Although he did like the Acclamator II-class, but felt he could do more good in command of the larger Venator-class than he could do with the Acclamator II-class.

Background: Born on Humbarine to a family with a strong naval (space) tradition, Lionel entered service with a private space security corporation, Universal Space Security Reserve, when he was 16 (39BBY) and worked his way up the system. By the time he was 30 (25BBY) he was in command of three USSR ships (no parallel meant by the abrreviation), but resigned in order to spend more time with his family on Humbarine. A year into the Clone Wars, disgusted at the atrocities being commited at the hand of CIS he offered his service to the Republic, and was given a rank of Captain. At the start of 19BBY he was offered the opportunity to command one of the new Venator Class Star Destroyers, and gladly accepted. A few months into the Clone Wars, he alone destroyed a CIS capital ship, that crashed on the planet below, and destroyed half a dozen CIS factories. After that he was given the command of an Acclamator II assault ship.

Background: Buck Augustio had a humble upringing on the core planet, Bastion. Like most residents on the planet, he was taught that alien species were inferior, disgusting creatues. Since he was young, he had a passion for learning about large ships. By the age of 15, he could name almost every major capital starship. His parents, noticing his interest in ships, enrolled him in the Republic Naval Academy at the age of 20. He was one of the few chosen on his planet to attend the distinguished academy. There, Buck found his knack in commanding capital ships, most notably the Acclamator II ship. Buck graduated after 3 years at the academy. Many of the commanding officers at the school told him he had a bright future ahead of him. Buck was stationed at a Procurator-class Star Battlecruiser as a junior officer, but by the time the Clone Wars erupted he was a Captain on the ship. His ship was one of the ships chosen to accompany Master Skywalker and Kenobi to Rhen Var during the Dark Reaper Crisis. The ship took major damage due to the lack of reinforcements sent by the Republic. Buck Augustio barely escaped with his life as a squadron of Delta-7 Interceptors saved the ship from certain doom. His survival in the battle of Rhen Var resulted in him being promoted to a bigger, better ship, Acclamator II-class Assault Ship. . He is also quite good at hand-to-hand combat and is a master diplomat.

Background: Teanaarian society has always been very liberal about the legal status of driods. Cyrus XZ-741 was built for the services of Michael Yautjaegar, a retired space captain and Tala Yautjaegar, a socialite for butler duties in their empty nest years, and indentured for 25 years. 15 years in they decided to "make family" of Cyrus, which the droid happily excepted. Briefly, Curus was given a new endo-skeptlotn frame, surrounded by a DNA template based on genetic samples of Mr. and Mrs. Yautjaegar. The organic component are biologicaly a son, which Cyrus considers himslef to the Yautjaegars. Cyrus has a driod's brian, and extra strength, but hears, sees, tastes and smells and speaks with his human organs and is married to Beru (42) with three fully human children, 3,4, and 7. He is a citizen of Teanaar, and thus the Republic.

Having a driod's brin makes Captain Yautjaegar a master of meticulous logistics, which is why he has been protomoted so. He has also developed an agressive personality instead of the usualy timid one of the traditional protocol driod. He is fluent in four million forms of communication, though he still has the protocol driod's desire to please and to calculate the odds of hazardous endevors. Nonetheless, Captain Yautjaegar does not consider himself a droid, or even a true cyborg. He is considered by most Teanaarian to be a human with a driod's brian, a convention considered odd by outsiders.

During the battle of Perisis II, eight months ago, his commanding officer, Captain Bilar Sun, was fatally injured, causeing comand to default to Commander Yautjaegar. He boldly took his ship into heavy enemy fire from a Trade Federation Battle ship, to rescue the crew of the Acclamator ship Naga's Shadow. For this he was promoted to Captain of the Taris and with repairs complete, he seeks to put down this uprising and hopefuly destroy Count Dooku's ship, and ending the Sith Order once and for all (it's all rumors that Dooku is the last Sith, they know nothing of Sideous)

I'm sorry. I got a little too much into the roleplay. I didn't even intend to highjack the thread into a system of my own making, merely create some colorful background.
