I know I don’t spend enough time in this thread but, I recently came across a 4’ x 220’ of fleece, baring the final dual emblem from ep 3, priced at $9.95. Now that’s a find! A few years back I stumbled upon several ep.1 figs at .99 a piece. INCL. Trade droids, lil Ani, Palpi, Ami, Qui, skinless 3po, Maul, a needless amount of Nute Gunray’, and, go figure (no pun intended) an infinite supply of mail-away ghost Anakin’. It appears ol’ George had that up his sleeve long before ep. 3
What glorious finds have you come across?

Just today i went to a local antique shop located around 1 hour from my house, i live in madison wi, and the the shop was in steven's point. found a vintage at-at and i barterted with the shopkeeper and got it for a measly $20 all intact with decals still not applied with almost perfect box with 1 minor ding in a corner.

I got a gold C3P0(1977), luke and leia (both Rotj), for 25$ at Grand Bend flee market. All the figures didn't even come with a case but I mean to me that deosn't matter, they're old(I hope originals), and they look really kick @$$ on my shelf. I also got a Rotj Thermos lunch box for 10$ at an antique store too.

I lucked out on Black Friday... After I had done my shopping at Target, checked out and hadn't found any thing "Star Wars" that I was looking for, I had an urge to go back into the store and purchase one more sale item as a gift for my Grand Niece... after I grabbed her gift, I decided to stroll back down the action figure aisle, when to my disbelief they had just put out the "Mace Windu Attack Battallion" Battle Packs!! I was so happy, just like a kid on Christmas! :xmas:

Then, on this past monday I strolled into the same Target and found an entire endcap full of Imperial Shuttles... WooHoo! :w00t:

once, I found at an antiques and collectables show a complete set of Episode one metal pins. It consists of OBIWAN, DROIDSTARFIGHTER, DARTHMAUL, BATTLEDROID, R2D2, and DARTHSIDIOUS. (caps for emphasis). I'll post scans one day. Got 'em all for only 10 bucks! and for only 2 extra dollars, I got a second Darth Sidious!

Yes they are... which makes timing truly of the essence... especially here in scalper country.

ps what are the green squares
You mean the ones below "Posts:"? ... those are reputation points... given by other members. I think there's an entire thread about them somewhere...

I live in Los Angeles ... we probably have more scalpers per capita than most other cities/areas...
scalper n. - someone who buys something and resells it at a price far above the initial cost; i.e. "They got theater tickets through a scalper"
So when I said "Scalper Country" I meant the L.A. area... that means I needed to get mine while I still could... without having to pay extra to a scalper. :santa:

A month ago, I found an Episode I Darth Maul with the voice chip stand still carded in a consignment store for $1.99.

These aren't quite deals, but somehow I managed to pick up Commander Cody and Scorch over the summer, though it seems I've seen Cody everywhere after I finally found him.

I own several unique SW things on DVD. Like the 78 Holiday Special, and a whole disc of old SW commercials. Got them from this guy who I see about three times a year at this collectables show, for the price of 5 bucks each. And a non SW thing I got on dvd was the episode of Gilligans Island where they finally get off the island...

If it's GL's autograph you want then here ya go...

I got this back in 2000 when GL was in the Toyota Celebrity Race...

(He finished last, btw)

Although it's not really a "deal" since his autograph didn't cost me anything.

I have 1st editions hardcover of the Thrawn Trilogy. Also, I was strolling down to Goodwill in Renton one Friday night and walked in. I took a look at the front glass cabinet. Littered with Baldur's Gate copies, old Bibles and DVDs. I shrugged started to walk away when something glittered in the fading sunlight. I asked the person if I could see it. They brought it out. It was the OT on DVD NEVER BEEN OPENED!! I looked at the price: Tuppwar 4.99

I almost collapsed. I asked the lady if that was the real price. She said it should be 15.00 but since they made a mistake I could have it fo 5. (mind you, this is 2 and half months after it came out) After that, I went to Rent a Center and rented a big screen TV for the week. I had a SW party during the week. That was really nice. (except in the end, it came out to be 256.00 in expenses, I didn't mind)

I was looking for a birthday gift for my nephew's first birthday. I went to toys r us and came across something I had to get for my other nephew, age 4. A playskool star wars jedi force chewbacca with wookie scout flyer.

No biggie, right? Not so fast. Originally $7.99, on sale for 40 CENTS! I looked for some kind of manufacturing defect but couldn't find one. There were only two left so I picked it up so Clark, the 4 year old, wouldn't feel left out with all the attention his younger brother will be getting.

43 cents after tax! :superhappy:

prized possession is an 8 x 10 poster from AotC with the following autographs:
Gerorge, Ewan, Hayden, Natalie, Samuel, Kenny, Anthony - was in a fierce bidding war with someone in Germany - that was back in 2003.

also have the "life"-sized latex Yoda from TPM complete with little tufts of hair. lucked out after watching several entries on Ebay where shipping was prohibitively expensive - and then I spotted one in from my home state, and even better, in my town - I met the former owner in the parkling lot at Blockbuster Video, saved major $$$ in shipping and you should see the expressions of peeps whenever I drive around with him riding shotgun.

Not really a deal but I once got a 'life-sized' cardboard cut out of Yoda free from Blockbuster video as I told them I wanted it for my brother's Birthday (I did give it to him). They gave it to me once the SE videos had been out a while.

His missus is a primary school teacher and he stands in her classroom now for a term each year, so a whole new generation of SW fans will hopefully be born!

^Good deal!

I wouldn't call this a REAL deal, but it was cheap. I picked up an old comic from the the Marvel Star Wars run for 37 cents. They should have only charged me 33, because it was 65 at half price. They charged me half of the Canada price, but what's 4 cents. #96. It's got Lumiya in it.

Jedi Master Harrison
04-04-2007, 04:38 PM
Well how about this deal then? I found a Darth Maul double bladed fx lightsaber on ebay and even though there were loads of bids, I won it at just over half the cost (inc. postage) that it'd be to buy it in the UK.

The lightsaber was due to come from Canada, only the guy has taken my money and not sent me the lightsaber so now I am having to chase to get either my money back or the lightsaber as described. What a :censored: .

I have undertaken loads of transactions on ebay from all round the world and never had a problem until now. What a deal, now I have no lightsaber and no money to buy one after all. :banghead:

reminds me of a trip to an independet toy store that also sold vintage stuff from a few years back. I found a vintage Imperial Dignitary Kenner action figure (w/ coin) for only about twenty dollars, and the toy looked to be in mint condition. And since Sim Aloo is one of my fave characters, I immediatley bought it. Thing is though, is that I havent been able to find a reliable estimate of its value. So anyone who helps me will be much thanked.

That's great, Horsey!

All Star Wars merchandise is so expensive here, I mean $15 just for a figurine is a rip off. :(

Once Toys 'R' Us had a bin with a few SW figurines at half price, $7, I didn't buy one because they had Lobot, Sly Moore, random Cantina Guy and Rabe. I wanted Rabe, but no, Lily has two Rabes so she wouldn't let me get one. :glare:

I was wandering through the toy section at Target and stopped to check out the clearance stuff... I picked up a Thirtieth Anniversary Collection Darth Vader w/ Coin Album that had been marked down to $6.98, and was debating to get it or not when I looked down to see some money someone had dropped... when I picked it up and looked at it I found it was $7, so I figured it was an omen that I should buy it, which I did.
