I've always found GoF to be one of the best children's SW book series ever written, both dark and gritty and unconventional while still mantaining the SW mythos. The author clearly knows the EU intimately and makes liberal use of EU characters, locations and events in his writing.

I do hope that sometime in the Legacy era some author will dredge out the characters of the GoF books and develop them more fully, from where the series ended.

Apparently, Wookiepedia briefly outlined the eventual fates of the Arrandas and Hoole, but didn't mention where its assertions originated. Where did the info come from? And is GoF canonical? I do hope it is - it's loads better than the GoDV series, and failing to establish it as canon would be doing it injustice. Is there any info on this?

It would be really cool to see the Galaxy of Fear characters fleshed out in either the Legacy-era or before. Crossing my fanboy fingers. :artoo:

I read somewere that the books pose continuity errors, not sayin they're bad books but I don't think I'll read them.

Much better than Marvel, actually.

I am reading them with my son and daughter and I have not found any continuity errors to report. I am taking notes in the interests of developing D6 RPG stats for my campaign. My kids might enjoy adventuring on planets they have read about.

Overall the books are very good and my kids find the more mysterious plotlines rather interesting. I enjoy them because far too many SW books focus on the main characters of the movies, and I enjoy seeing what is going on in the rest of the galaxy.

Sorry, I was referring to continuity errors; meant to say that in terms of continuity, Galaxy of Fear is much more accurate than the comics.

Very good sir, I agree. I do like them very much. The Movie Characters have brief cameo appearance but then we get back to the action with the new main characters. I just like to see the vastness of this galaxy's citizens getting some air time and I like to see what the little people are doing. You can only write "destroy the super weapon and save the galaxy" stories so many times before it wears on the imagination.:bye:
