I was wondering, do all of you collecters out there keep your figs in or out of the boxes. I usually take mine out, but, I have two stil in.

None of the PotF ones I owned from that time are in the box. For Episode I, I kept half in, half out. Since then, they're all in.

But isn't this already a topic somewhere?

I just got the Epiode 3 palpatine from the movie box, for 50 cent. It is the one with the launching electricity and redightsaber, he is all dressed in black robes. I took him out of the box, because it is more fun!

I only have two figures still carded...Mara Jade and arena Padme...Scorch and Cody would've been prime candidates to keep carded, but I couldn't bring myself to look at them through plastic, so I devised a new way of doing things:

When I first pick up the figure, I take a picture of it in the box, then open it up. That way, I have something to remind myself that I once had it carded and to remember the joy of finding it on the shelf. I might pull that with my Padme and Mara Jade...I paid $20 for Mara two years ago, but I'm honestly not planning on selling her so why should I be worried about value?

I like that idea of taking a picture of the figure in the box, I will have to try that.

I take mine out. No fun if you can't play with them.

Galahad skywalker brings up a good point.
What's the point of having them in the boxes when you wouldn't sell them?
Or would it be that the collector has knowledge that in 30 years time. He is one of the few people that still has a mint condition Darth Vader model from Kenner toys that was released when Star Wars first came out.

I like to display some of my figures...

I'm detecting no Boba Fett in that collection, unless of course hes in that box under the Maul lightsaber.:p Bobe Fett should be centered in the middle.

I always take mine out of the box. It's so much easier to display them!

The two that I have, I take out of the box. However, I am not sure this was such a good idea to do so with the Leia Boussh, as she has ball joints on her arms, and within 15 minutes of my ownership of her, she lost half an arm. It was found 5 hours later in a public park, would you believe, when Padme-Lily stepped on it, but then yesterday I lost the other arm...at school! I am so ANGRY at myself!:omg: :omg:
Now if I don't find the arm, I will have to disguise it somehow.

I would like to say that my Leia now has no lower arms. I lost them both at school. Feel free to bash me up.

I take mine out. I only buy specific action figures to compliment my vhs/dvd/cd/book collection. For example, I have the Luke Unleashed ESB and classic Boba and Leia figures that go with my ESB stuff.

No point keepin' them in boxes. Toys are meant to be played with ;)
