PROJECT: HAILFIRE

Ya, so this fanfiction is a off-shoot of a text-only RPG that is played on www.galacticsenate.com
In the RPG it is all about reaching a lost-colony of Jedi, but along the way the Jedi involved in that process get absorbed into a top-secret Jedi Project, code-named PROJECT: HAILFIRE.

I'm editing it and posting it in chapters so bear with me. Thanks.

The main Contributiors are Mathius, Young Blood and myself. Other minor contributions are from Darth Strange (Thanks to him for starting the RPG), and Deaths Hand.

Apperance:Blond Hair, black eyes, 6' 2", 156 pounds,
Bio: Is a Jedi Knight who is leader of a top-secret Project of the Jedi order: Project Hailfire which accounts for 8610 Jedi, 4000 padawans and 4610 masters, and 75 capital ships with Republic soldiers.
Location: Is currently on Coruscant. Currently his fleet of 75 ships is assgned to the Tarr'ye Project.

Background:Garret grew up on Mandolore but traveling Jedi came to his planet. Seeing that he was one of the best warriors and one of the most kind hearted individuals of this planet, these Jedi had seen much potential in him. So he was trained from 14 to 25 and has been a Jedi Knight ever since. Because of the age in which he was trained the Council is considering assigning him to PROJECT: HAILFIRE. Curently on assignment with the Tarr'ye Project

Appearance: Tan fur, with a heavy muscular build, Hijad is appx. 8' 8" like most males of his species, and weighs roughly 280 pounds. And Jedi robes(reminiscent of Obi-Wan's robe style)
Bio: Given Jedi knighthood after thedeath of his master, Kiutij Huimula, a Duro who was killed while on a mission for the Jedi. Hijad is without master and is embarking on a misson with Appo, and captain's James and Atelo.

Weapon:2x Dual bladed lightsaber with red crystals. Hilt is silver and black curls.
Apperance: Adorned in a raven black mask only his left eye is visible. His face is gnarled and mangled like his soul, and his exposed eyes is yellow tint with large scar crossing it.
Background: Little is known about his history. It is known that he stood by Revan during the reign of Malak, and attempted to persuade others to follow the true Lord of the Sith. For this he was expelled from the academy by aggressive manner, however when Malak was defeated he heard tyhe call and returned re-connecting himself with the Sith Empire. He is known as a controller of a secret ally to the Sith known as the Krath. It is unknown what the level of power he truelly holds is as it is for any of the sith of this time but from the bloody and vile path he leaves, it seems as though he could even be as High as the one and only Dark Lord of the Sith.

Introduction III:
Back Ground Information on Project Hailfire

Project: Hailfire began as project to keep wayward Jedi who were too old to release, often those whom diagreed with the rules of attachment or other minor rules, in line. Some of the toughest Jeid masters, including the project's leader, Jedi Knight Robert James, were assigned to teach these Jedi. This project was then used as military force during the time of KOTOR 2, and since has kept that repution. The project now has a estimated 8610 Jedi, and 75 Capital ships with untold number of fighters, transports, and other military armament.

Introduction IV:
Setting

This story takes place 15 years after KOTOR 2
Project: Hailfire has currently been assigned to help spearhead a hunt for a lost colony of the Jedi.
Tarr' Ye is a lost city on the planet Ezekiel that was lost 60,000 years ago. It was the first civilization of the Jedi. The city was ran by Jedi Kings untill the Jedi headquarters was moved to Coruscant.
While in the planning stages Operation: Tarr'ye was comprimised by Sith Spies, who hacked into the computer system of the Jedi. It is now a race to reach Tarr'ye.

CHAPTER 1:
DEPARTURE

On a dark night in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Captain Atelo saw two Men standing in front of him.

He said, "Welcome Captain James. We have never met but your reputation procedes you, that's why I asked you to join my expedition."

"Captian Appo, yes I have heard of you also, but we have never met."

"I am sure you both have heard what we are doing so lets make a long story, a short one, we are going to the first civilzation of Jedi Knights. Now this information has leaked out to the Sith and now its a race to Tarr' Ye."

"I see that not everyone is here but we need to get out, so let's leave a holocron for those that are coming along, and and I will program the coordinates into the Holocron so they can find us."

"So, gentlemen, I will see you in space." Finished Knight Anthos as he walked to the Docks and got in his transport ship to get to the The Redemption.

Anthos walked to the Bridge and looked out the view port and waited for Captains James and Captain Appo to get to their ships and follow Captain Atelo into lightspeed.

Captian James boarded his transport and arrived at the Interpid. A few minutes later he called Knight Anthos.

"This is Captian James, abourd the Intrepid, reporting in. Where is Knight Appo?"

Captain Appo baorded his transport to the Liberator as well, "This is Captian Appo reporting in." he said in a calm voice as he sat, meditated and waited for a response.

Hidden amongst the endless plain of Stars the Rapture and Revalation cut through the void of space like a jagged vibro dagger in the heart. A feeling of anger and emptiness emminated from it seeming as if to fuel the rapid speed the destroyer was traveling at. Inside the Sith attendants, knights, and acolytes hurried back and forth running the vessel at hightened readyness.

Upon the Bridge stood a cloaked figure, adorned and raven armor. Below him stood a short Twilek woman.

"Master the informants in the temple alert us that the Jedi will be taking off soon."

"Good. I will be leaving control of this ship to you. You will Rendevouz with the Task Force at these coordinates."

"Why will you not be accompanying us on this task."

"I will be personally following these fools to the Legendary Planet. Their I will deal with the neccessary precautions needed for this invasion. Do not move until I have given the final order. Do you understand Lietenant."

"Yes Master."

"Good than have the Mark II prepared by the time I get down their. You will do well my apprentice."

"Of course. Your bidding is my duty."

Turning from the Twielek Woman the Figure waltzed from the room, heading for the docking room. The Krath High Priest, Master Treytorus Ento Vok, formualted devious plans to finally ensure his take over of the Sith Empire and all it's Dark allies. It would all come together here at Tarr' Ye.

Captain Appo heard this certain dsiturbance in the force though he could not sense this evil force other than knowing it was no one but the Sith for he sensed the darkness and anger in them. He could tell they were also in this race to Tarr' Ye. But he had not yet told his other associate's of this matter for he had not yet gotten a reply from Captain Atelo or Captain James but he told over the comm as he got up, "Captain James, I'm sensing a disturbance in the force for I may fear it is the Sith coming for us, but I am a Jedi, so I shall not be afraid. But let us take our precautions and may the force be with you as well as Captain Atelo." he said, then he began to speak to the man on the bridge, controlling the ship, "Jaron, I would like you to prep our vessel for hyperspace, for we are in a race to Tarr' Ye with the Sith....." he said trailing off.

Having already left his vessel, and begining his daring quest for power, Treytorus and his Infiltrator Mark II slipped out of hyperspace. Using the smuggled coordinates from the provingly reliant Sith spies, Treytorus Vok was able to slip to a sector near Corus****. It was here the Jedi were to meet for their jump.

Closing his eyes he meditated preforming a force mask. He would now be for the first time cut off from his allies completely, hidden amongst the enemy. Through the force he could sense the oncoming capital vessels, teeming with useless and unimportant life. Ahead with his reopened eyes Vok spotted the first of the reported three vessels in line to take part in this expidition.

At the sight of the ship Treytorus smiled and rushed his hands to switch of the main power conduits of the vessel. Then floating blindly, the Mark II slipped behind a piece of space debri, to become completely hidden from the Jedi.

Through the force he continued the mask, while still keeping a close eye on the plottting courses filtering in from the ships. Soon he would have all he needed and true power would become his alone.

Sitting back silently the Mark II layed dormant ready for any sign of movement, programmed to follow the Nav computers of the capital Jedi vessel.

Captain Appo saw what looked to be a dead floating ship and sensed something very bad. He waited for a few minutes looking out of the viewport throught the bridge with his Jedi robes flowing was stroking his tuft(the part of the goatee that is like just one strip of hair under your lip) and picked up the commlink and held it close to his mouth,"Captain Appo reporting in. I have spotted what looks to be a dead ship but I cant be very sure for I sense great evil in this ship. I can sense that there are few still alive. For I hope it is not the Sith but I am not going in unless both of you are. Appo out." he said as he set the commlink down and walked away checking his utility belt and waiting for a response from his friends and thinking...

"Captain Atelo, the Redemption is ready for lightspeed" ,said the dock officer.

"Very good." Replied Captain Atelo. Anthos punched in his comlink and said, "This is Captain Atelo to Captain James. I am sending you the cooridnates, send them to everyone else, please."

"Everyone jump into lightspeed on my mark 5...4...3...2...1."

"Sir, we have jumped into lightspeed." ,said the dock officer

"Very good." replied the Captian

Ya, so Chapter one is done a lot eirlier than expected, after I finish the next few chapters though, it could be a week before I do any more, I know I will get at least 1 more chapter done sometime today, so I won't leave you without something to mull over.

Tell me what you think of the story so far, while I edit Chapter 2 as that is the one that's gonna take the longest cause the guy who uses no editing marks was stll in and very active :). So ya, tell me what you think.

CHAPTER 2:
The Seperation and Joining

"Captain Atelo, this is the Intrepid, we are remaining behind, I am attempting to complete one of Hailfire's primary missions while I will try to reach Tree'ya. I sense great danger. Intrepid out."
"Understood," ,replied Captain Atelo, "and may the force be with you."

-----------------------------------------

"Sir," said the Dock officer, "the Sith have followed us."

"Prepare for battle. They will be with Dark Jedi and they are carrying a Sith Lord, I must face him alone."

"But, Sir...." began the deck officer.

"There are no buts on this ship, Major."

"I understand," said the dock officer, "But why must you face him?" asked the dock officer.

" Because he is my brother." relpied Anthos

"Your brother?!"

"Yeah I had a twin, then we were sepertated and he joined the sith. I was doing a mission on korriban and we met again, I, a jedi, and him, a dark lord.

"We fought but he let me escape, but I feel he will not do so again."
Just then the sith boarded the ship they went on firing and behind them was Darth Atelo, who said, "Leave the Jedi, aboard this ship, alone! "Yes." said one of the soldiers following the dark lord while the captain made sure everyone was clear on the subject.

Captain Atelo and Darth Atelo walked up to each other. Darth Atelo said, "It has been sometime, brother."

"Yes it has," replied Captain Atelo "But we are blood, how can you kill what you once loved?"

Darth Atelo replied by saying, "Enough talking!" as he ignited his Red saber.

Captain Atelo ignited his Gold blades and said, "Then it is inveitable.

Darth Atelo charged at him and Anthos deflected it and brought his saber down and hit Darth Atelo's saber on the hilt causing it to explode, "You are beaten."
said Captain Anthos "Now join me, or die."

"Put me in a force cage and let me decide!" said Darth Atelo.

"I as well am with James on this one friend." Captain Appo said over the comm to Atelo, when he got no response he turned away from the com unit to look out the viewport, as he did so he saw fighters coming straight for them both, "All men attend to your battle staions on the double!!!!!" ,he ordered over the comm to all his crew and ship members.

Then he said over the comm to James, "James! Have all men attend battle staions, we're going to be attacked by Sith fighters. I dont know how many!" ,he said and stood and closed his eyes trying to use his Battle Meditation he had found out about when he was at the academy. He was one of the very few in the galaxy that could do so...

Captain Hijad Kitru was sprinting down the corridor, his long feline like legs allowing him to run faster then most bipedal species. He had been late from his last mission, a young triannii padawan named Mag Jerha jumped in front of him, almost nocking him over in the process, Mag being in good relations to Hijad, told him "Hijad, the council's said you are to report to the Holocron room to read an urgent message", Hijad nodded his head in approval and started for the holocron room.... Hijad watche the holocron and was in space, the Origon had launched into hyperspace, using the co-ordinates left behind by Captain Atelo.

"Captain Appo, this is General James, disengage from battle, follow me by performing a immediate jump to the following coordinates." Said General James as he transmitted the coordinates.

"Hyperspace Officer, order a immediate jump to the coordinates I gave you."

"Yes, sir.... jumping in 5...4...3...2...1....we have made the jump. We will be ocming out of hyperspace in 5 minutes."

"Sir, we will be coming out of hyperspace in 10 secs...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...0... We have succesfully made the jump."

"Major, Tell your Lts. to launch thier squadron's fighters in a defensive pattern."

"Flight Officer, await the arrival of Captian Appo, then send the cloaking technicians to his ship and order him to allow them to install our cloaking device, it is the only way he will be able to continue with me. If he refuses inform me."

"Yes, sir."

"I will be in my quarters meditating."

"Major, the ship is in your control untill I return."

"Yes, sir."

Hijad jumped out of Hyperspace only to see the tail end of captain James ship, jumping into Hyperspace, and also a hole fleet of sith fighters and cruisers surrounding him. Hijad let the force guide him, he had the advantage of surprise, and he'd us it. He started to spin, spewing laser fire from forward and aft cannons, the fire hit the backs of unsuspected sith fighters, and blossomed into a curtain of rubble. Hijad knew the force was with him today, he'd live through this battle, and help the jedi in the race to Tarr'Ye. Hijad flew forward, breaking the sith line, but he needed those hyperspace co-ordinates to escape the elevating danger, Hijad sent out a comm on a coded republic frequency, "This is captain Hijad Kitru, If their are any remaining republic ships in the sector, please comm me the hyperspace co-ordinates of captain James ship, over....".

Captain Appo had recieved the coordinates sent by Captain James,"This is Captain Appo I will help install the cloaking device for I wish to tracel with Captain James, I would never dissapoint a fellow Jedi bretheren like this." ,he said over the comm to his leading officer, and yelled over the comm.to his crew mates "Battle stations, we are to help install a cloaking device that Capatin James built for our vessel, I will not dissapoint a fellow Jedi, we will also be jumping to new coordinates in 5.........4.......3.........2......1!"

His ship had made the jump and flew closer to Captain James' ship as he saw the crew of technicions make their way to his ship as the baording line came out across ships and they came up to the bridge,"Follow us, sir." they said he turned to his leading officer,"Major you have full command of this ship for now unless I say different but you WILL take my orders.UNDERSTOOD!?" he said as the Major nodded and got back to work, after announcing he was isssued new command unless said different by Captain Appo. As Captain Appo made his way back to Captain James' ship for the retrievial of his cloaking device.

"Captian Appo, hold one. I need to issue orders to Captian Hijad. Please make your way back to your ship, my technicians will install this cloaking device abourd your ship. Prepare for a jedi mold, also."

"Captian Hijad. This is Captian James. the coordinates are included in the coded attachment. Make a series of Jumps to distract the sith before jumping to our position."

"Hijad, Appo, I have recieved a communication with the Jedi Council, it seems the council has granted me the rank of master and am putting in me in charge of the fleet, it seems communication has been lost with knight Atelo. The Republic has also granted me the rank of Commodore, I am hereby annexing your ships into the top-secret project Hailfire. Atello you are now promoted to General, Knight Hajjad, you are my Admiral from now on." Master James informed the other knights.

"Knight Hijad, land your fighter into my ship as soon as you reach the coordinates, . Hold one for landing instructions." Master James said over private Comm to knight Hijad.

"Flight officer, what is the nearest hangar to the bridge?" Asked the Jedi master to his Flight officer.

"Your personal Hangar, Master James." replied the flight officer.

"First Major, to you it is Commadore to you, I want a clear-cut chain of command, secondly, clear a path so he might land.

"But sir, that is agianst...."

"NOW!" Declared Commodore James, cutting off the flight officer.

"Yes, sir." Replied the Flight officer.

"Knight Hajid, you are cleared for landing in my personal hangar. Please do so immediantly."

Hijad knew the ship behind him was trying to track him incase he tryed to jump to lightspeed; He had to move quickly. He immediately moved his hands in a flurry of movement, trying to get hyperspace co-ordinates in order. The different jumps were to lose the sith as master James had ordered, but the rest was up to him. Hijad cut the main thrusters and did a flip, thus going nose to nose with the sith fighter; a game of wits. He stared forward determined, and in the few seconds to impact, launched all remaining proton torpedoes, barrel rolled to the left ; and jumped to hyperspace, untracked. Hijad didn't see the explosion, but felt the death of the pilot through the force. After making many jumps into and out of hyperspace, Hijad made his way to master James personal hangar. "Admiral Hijad reporting in, and Master James I'll be glad to finally meet you, over".

"Commodore, a communication has come over the com from Admiral Hajid." Master Jame's quarters com boomed. Slowly Master James came out of his meditiion.

"What did he say Major?" Asked Commodore James.

"He called to inform you that he is in your hangar and on his way to the bridge."

"Very good. I will meet him there. Return to your original post."

"Yes, sir." Replied the Major.

As Master James went his way to the bridge, he bumped into his old apprentice who was part of the Hailfire project. "Walk with me, Sierra."

"Yes, Master, I had a question for you, Loginel." Using a old Julian word for Father.

"You do not need to call me Father, though I love you more than any other Father could love his daughter, you have made me proud and done well with my teachings. What did you need?"

"What is your position on the Jedi rule of attachment?"

"This is hard one, listen to the council. I can not encourage you to disobey there rulings." replied Master James.

"Almost everyone within this fleet agrees the rule of attachment hinders us. THey believe if they have a good Jedi spouse that we could be better equipped." replied Sierra.

"Where do you stand, my Daughter?" asked Master James.

"I agree." replied Sierra

"As do I, but do not reveal that, it will remain so as long as we remain in the order." declared Master James as he walked onto the bridge. " Now I must see you off as I have to discuss strategy with my men."

"Yes, Loginel" responded Sierra to Master James

Master James walked back to his chair and fell into meditation as he waited for Knight Hajid.

Captain Appo going back to his ship went to the bridge,"Major I am back in command now. I will be in my quarters if you need to contact me communicate to me through my comm. device but only for importance. Do you understand me Major?"

The Major replied, "Yes, Sir."and he waved a motion of ok in General Appo's direction, as Admiral appo walked back to his quarters with his robes flowing as he thought in dissapointment but tried not to let it bother him.

Ya, agian Chapter two is up a lot eirlier than expected, but I am done, for today. I know that's disappointing, but hey, I can't work too hard, right... I need a time for a drink, :beer: . :shots: :cheers:

17:46 GMT - So, just to let y'all know, chapter three won't be up untill at least saturday maybe monday at the latest. PC porblems and time problems and all. So cya then.

17:13 GMT
I will try to have chapter 3 up by tuesday, as I just found out my PC will be being worked on and reformated Saturday and Sunday, and in addition to the huge amount of schoolwork I had to rush to do in the last few days I'm only about 1/4 done with the chapter. PLEASE THOUGH GIVEME SOME OPINIONS ON HERE ON HOW THIS STORY IS! Geesh... no one likes me.. :(

"All Project:Hailfire ships move to repel unidentified ships." Master James said into his all fleet com as he awoke Hijad.

"Hijad, Padawan, wake up, the fleet is under attack."

"Commadore, this is the Killer the pirate's ships are moving to make the jumpt to ligh..... aww crap....!" Master James heard over the comm all of a sudden he heard a explosion in the backgorund.

"Captain, this is Commodore James, are you there?" Master James asked the captain of the Killer.

"Commodore we have lost the Liberator, the pirates blew it up as they were retreating."

"Understood, Captain, come planetside to make repairs." answered the Commodore calmly.</div>

CHAPTER 3
THE JEDI RIFT

Master James awoke from his meditation to find that Knight Hajid had not found his way to the bridge yet.

"I believe it is time for the Hailfire mission to exist in and of itself, not to say we will not still be allies, but we both know most Hailfire Jedi are put into our program because they tend to disagree with the counsel in one or two minor rules."

"I agree, but why are you telling me this now?"

"Because I have come to agree with Sierra and Yourself, a strong Jedi needs a partner that is equal, he needs something to sharpen him with, and for me you are the one whom has sharpened me. I will talk to General Appo and to Admiral Hajid on this and see what course of action to take."

"Very good, but master I must return to my quarters."

"Goodbye, sweet Niomi" James muttered as she walked away.

"General Appo, Admiral Hijid, what are your opinion son splitting from the order for various reasons, this would be totally supported by the Order and we would remain in total alliance with the Jedi order, mainly we would be a prelature to the Order?" James then began to wait for the Knights' answers.

"I will miss the Order, master, but I shall follow you as well as any of my fellow Jedi comrades on what would be best for me and both of you." General Appo replied to Master James over the comm unit.

"Thank you for your input, Knight Appo!" ,replied James to Knight Appo, as he waited even more for Hijad's input.

"Your welcome Master James always for the light." he said in a calm voice, as he told the major that, once again, he was in control unless Appo said otherwise, as he was leaving to return to his quarters to meditate.

As James was thinking on this a loud speaker near his chair activated, "Intrepid, this is the Jedi Temple, Please switch to coded frequency 985632.8988 encryptions Alpha-Kilo-Sierra-Romeo-1-2-3-5-5-9-7-5."

"Temple, this is the Intrepid switching." Replied James through the microphone on his comm display, near the Captains Chair of the Interepid.

"Comm officer, switch to coded frequency 985632.8988 using encryption Alpha-Kilo-Sierra-Romeo-1-2-3-5-5-9-7-5. Notify Admiral Hajid to meet me in his quarters, pipe the feed into his quarters abourd our ship for I sense he is their and General Appo abourd the Liberator."

"Doing as ordered, sir." Replied the deck officer

Suddenly a hologram of the Coruscant Temple dwarfed the Bridge of the Interepid.

"Master James, This is Master Zar, we were told you decided the course of action the Hailfire Project will take..." Said the head Council member, trailing off.

"Master, while the Hailfire project admires the order, there is too many disagreements, my closest friends advise us to take a prelature position to the Order."

"I understand, therefore a account has been made into the Coruscant bank in your name with all the funds your project has earned for the order, a 9,000,000,500,000 Credits. We also are giving you the temple on Datooine."

"Yes, Master. And may the force be with you"

"And with you, friend." Replied Master Zar cutting the feed.

Captain James replied over a fleet com to the entire fleet.... "Now the hard part begins... All ships go to Datooine. We will regroup there and continue to Tree'ya"

No specific era given: A mission to find the homeworld of the Jedi leads to danger

Some spelling and homonym problems, but these are editing problems.

The biggest problem with the style is it doesn’t flow. Scenes are put together well, but they have no life, no spark. What you need to do is slow down a bit, reread, edit and visualize the scene as if it were a movie. Even with the best of actors, a scene that does not flow is unsatisfying. No biggie, I have written some scenes that may this look like Oscar material.
