Just wondering about the ladies out there interested in collecting SW. I am mom and currectly driving my husband crazy with my SW stuff. I collect 12in characters, t-shirts, and all kinds of in-betweens. I find a disturbing lack of stuff geared for girls and women fans.

Let me know if you out there girls! Are you getting a hard time from your friends and family? Come and vent :viking:

I collect Star Wars Valentines. A very girly thing.

I have tons of other collectables, but most I have opened and played with, including my Jorg Sacul from Celebration 2.

You know, I can no longer look at my 12 in character collection the same. I'm having a Dr. Frued moment.

I've got Valentines too! I also grabbed 25 boxes of the easter egg decorating kits on the after holiday sale. I figure I'll do one kit a year. Right now I have an egg decorated as Yoda (ears, lightsaber and all) in my refigerator. My husband didn't think it was as cute as I did. :yoda:

My book collection is pretty good, I can't wait for the 30th for Betrayal, oh yeah and it's my anniversary.

well I don't know if it's a gender issue. When I was at Star Wars Celebration III there was plenty of toys and collectibles for the fairer sex. However, I think collectibles are gender neutral and more depends on your likes and dislikes. I don't collect action figures because my main interest is art. I collect the books, dvds, cds and art prints and high end collectibles like my Master Replicas Anakin Skywalker lightsaber. :)

Man, I wish I could have gone to Celebration III. I'm green with envy. :yoda: Maybe I'm just sensitive because I really wish they would have continued to make Amidala dolls like they did with PM. Some of the figures seemed made for teenage boys (like "perky" Amidala unleashed)

Bluemilk, do you have any of the sideshow collectible figures? They seem so nicely done I wonder if they are as nice in person. I got a lot of laughs this Christmas when I busted out my Christmas in the Stars music. I'd like to have that on record, also because when I was a teenager I had a big crush on Jon BonJovi who sings on the album.

I have a couple Sideshow collectibles and they are wonderful! However, they are not Star Wars. I do believe you're talking about Sideshow Weta of LOTR fame? I saw the Sideshow figures at SWCIII and was really, really impressed; expensive though :)

and yeah I guess I see what you mean aobut "perky" amidala *LOL*.

I was in Chic-Fil-A the other day wearnig my "Let the Wookie Win" t-shirt and the girl behind the counter loved it. Turns out she is also a big fan. She asked if I had I had seen them all in the theatre. She thought I was old enough to have seen ANH when it first came out. I was 2!!! :( Maybe it' time to start with the wrinkle cream!

My boyfriend has grown to accept that he is living in the shadow of the Fett man. I told him from the start 'Boba was there before you and he'll be there after you.'

As for my collection, I collect action figures (mostly darkside and bountyhunters), Boba Fett anything, comics, and t-shirts.

Celebration III had me feeling naked w/o a Star Wars costume. There was such an amazing display of just about every Star Wars costume you can possibly imagine. That was part of the high - stormtroopers in a majority was normal....in the mall, walking past a restaurant, etc. Very cool Jedi too. Best looking Qui Gon I've ever seen. So....here it is a year later and I finally have a costume - I will be in a July 4th parade as a Jedi.

But my collection began with behind the scenes photos; my prized possession is an 8 x 10 poster from AotC signed by George, Hayden, Ewan, Natalie, Frank, Samuel. Anthony and Kenny. I am surrounded by my favorite things in my computer room - latex full-sized Yoda, interactive R2, every issue of British Star Wars Official Magazine, life size cut outs of AotC Obi Wan, Anakin, Padme and Yoda, and banners, posters galore. I have limited amounts of action figures but I do have those TPM banks - semi-interactive Qui Gon and Obi Wan both playing the Star Wars Fanfare.

Last year I bought all the Making Ofs for the prequels. and I now have the press kits for all 3 prequels plus a great looking George in flannel doll.

I finished my Leia costume last Halloween, the first thing I have ever sewed! I wished I had it when ROTS had come out. Oh well, I'll save for the 3D's.

I would love some autographed photos, but I can't really afford the official web site (Pix something or other), and I can't bring myself to trust ebay that far. I do however have a standee from a BK display that we used for my son's 6th bday party.

My desk is covered with all the toys from the kids meals from BK, the interactive Yoda who helps me with my school work, and some other figures and M&M's, keycahins, pewter figures, etc...

I am hoping to win a ROTS press kit on ebay, wish me luck!

The Obi Wan and Qui Gin interactive banks sounds awesome! I've got my Darth Vader bank that talks right here next to me.

All this makes talk me want to buy a bigger house s I have more room for my stuff!

I don't have a lot of merchandise, though I enjoy a few toys. Mostly for making goofy dioramas and web comics with my other toys.

I do have a lot of books and some comics though.

I love to collect the 6-inch action figures and display them on my bedstand in my room!:nahnah:

And yes, my family can't believe that I collect them still. "Aren't you too old for that?" is what I hear most of the time. But I really can't help it. It is just so much fun. I guess you just have to learn to ignore them.

Even though I don't collect them, I can't stay away from those Jude Watson SW books. How about anyone else?

My book collection is a little out of control! I don't have one author I like more than another however. I think my favorite book of all is The Courtship of Princess Leia. I have so many runners up though! I find that the newest book are a little depressing. I am hoping something good happens to a main character soon.

If every SW I have read I owned I would have a MASSIVE collection, but I only have about 2 and only 6 figurines: Two Rabés, Lando, Vader, General Rieekan, R4 and I used to have a Padmé, but I lost her one day *sob*
I really do not have much money to spend on these things, and all of my money went into buying The Sims and its expansion packs and now The Sims 2. But currently I am saving up for a huge Han figurine.

I don't have any figurines. I have SW plates, a Slave Leia standee R2 standee, a few posters, an Ackbar bust, some nice artwork posters from C3, Billy Dee Williams' print, a few sets of SW cards, the OT lobby cards, most of the hallmark xmas ornaments, books, music and a few other things.

My favorite collection would have to be my star wars t-shirts and jewlery. Stuff I can take with me to show off. I do want to start collecting lunch boxes. I can never seem to get a good deal on a decent one. I only have one original - ROTJ, and several newer ones from the prequels.

Sorry that this is offtopic, but 25 dollars? Obviously the exchange rate is different, but :O that's a good deal! I got full house for $100, saving me $140 though. Anyway, I forgot to mention that I have a poster that has the movie posters of all six episodes and a tin that came with the ROTJ Anniversary Tin Set that's got, um, ROTJ on it...

PLUSH: Lily, you forgot to mention your Shtar Warsh Trivial Purshuit Mini Bite-Shize Thing.
