One of my favorite star wars games is having a sequel coming out.
Star Wars Lego II (http://www.lucasarts.com/games/legostarwarsii/) Is due to be released this fall in america. Supposedly you will be able to play with more then 60 new hero units, some from the Expanded Universe and all the original trilogy characters.
The working title is Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.

Look forward to it!

Comments?

Well i liked the first one soo i guess a second would be cool. But no sorry i have no comments other than this, i hope its good cause somtimes it seems like they come out with a second to fast and there is vey little story line and all there is to do is a whole lot of button mashing. There i said it.Peace out.

Picked this up day 1, and it's all the fun of the original Lego Star Wars game and then some. The cutscene parodies from the film are fun, and the gameplay is the typical stuff. One of the hilarious new features, is combining the customization fun of Lego with the game... you can take peices parts from all different characters and make new characters... like Darth Leia Fett... Darth Vaders head, Leia's gold bikini torso, and Boba Fetts feet... even add a purple lightsaber or a Wookiee crossbow. It's just good silly fun, and if you liked the first one, you can't go wrong with this sequel.

My girlfriend's son got it for his Xbox and was showing me last night. It did look like the money. I loved the first one so I will probably break down and buy this one for my PS2.

I was able to snag one of two last copies at GameStop on the release day. All I have to say is... I'm am not quite sure if I am ever going to go back to the first LEGO Star Wars game :-D

I think one of the greatest "extras" is the one option (which costs approximately 250,000 studs) that allows you to import 98% of the characters unlocked from the first game (if you're using the same memory card) Only 98% because they leave out a few key characters that will have to be bought later on, such as Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.

Anyway, I give this game a 10 out of 10 rating, pushing the first LEGO Star Wars game down to 9 out of 10.

Great Job, LucasArts, Traveler's Tales, LEGO, and everyone else that put everything they had and more into this wonderful sequel!

I love the sequel even more than the first. Got it on Release day at Circuit City, only 40 bucks. Bought it when I was picking up the Limited SW release of the OT.

Anyhow, you just can't go wrong with this game. It's even more hilarious than the first one. And since I played teh first one and saved it I have unlimited figure customization options which is surprisingly addictive.

Dang. I wanted the DS version but it sounds like it's the buggiest game known to mankind. And no way to patch that either. Oh well.

:D Well I'll have to race back and see if it's still there ;) The game (according to GameStop and EBgames cashiers) is selling out very quickly. And the GameCube version is receiving the most attention.

The same goes for the Limited Edition Unaltered Original Trilogy. In the first three days, almost all of Best Buy's stock was gone!

Do they have Amazon on Mandalore? Wow, those guys really are expansionist...:D

But seriously, you are in for a TREAT. All the surreal silliness of LSW1, but with even more. The cut-scenes alone (maybe because the OT is embedded deep in our minds) are ROFL.

One thing I liked a lot about the original LSW was replayability (as a "game to beat and get to the end, it's pretty lightweight, but that's not the point). They've made that even better in LSWII - more little goodies to find, you now have to get True Jedi both on Story and on Free Play, and the goodies build up to give you access to bonus levels.

enjoy!

I'm tempted to pick this up, but could someone please explain what sort of game it actually is? I know that sounds silly, but what I mean is what's the objectives? Do you have to fly? First person shooter, etc? Oh, and how difficult is it?

As I always say, mods, feel free to close this thread if there's another one identical to it, or you just don't like it.
So...LEGO Star Wars I/II. Have you played them? What do you think of them? Just discuss everything about them here!

I have played both, since Padme-Lily owns a Playstation 2 and both the games. In my opinion it's the most fun PS2 game I've ever played. :w00t:
And the stormtroopers look so cute!

I rolled through most of the first one with my girlfriend's son on his XBox one day. We got through TPM and then decided during the factory part of AOTC that it would be more fun to keep killing each other instead of the bad guys. So we stopped. It was pretty sweet though. He got the new one and that actually looks even better. I love how Chewie rips the Lego arms off the troopers.

I'll eventually buy them both for my PS2, by then I may have finally broken down and bought a PS3, but between tediously working my way through Battlefront 2, GTA: San Andreas, Madden and Tiger Woods I have little to no time for another game. I will get them eventually though.

Ok - we have all the gold bricks, all the orange bricks, all the levels complete on free play and story modes - there's nothing else to get, and it says the game is still 99% complete. We did the lego city and all that other stuff. I have no idea why we can't get to 100% completion.

Any ideas? PM me.

If you've missed ANY collectible pieces, then your out of luck. You've probably missed 2 or 3 and that's your ratio blown. 100% in any modern game is not going to happen, the variables are based on minute and frankly ridiculous obstacles.

I'm not sure what you guys mean. It's not like I haven't completed everything. It's all done but the game still says it's 99% complete. I don't get it. There's nothing left to find.

Yes I know what a "guide" is. (Did you read those reviews by the way?)

What I'm saying is that I did everything there is to do. It's not like there's some level I couldn't finish, etc. I don't think you guys are understanding what I'm saying. I have found everything and did every level. I'm not sure that there's something left to do.

The only thing I can think of is the super stories. I did them all (there are 3) and only did one under an hour. I still got the gold bricks for them though! So no idea.

Don't have it right here in front of me, but some things I can remember having to do:
a) Get all the bricks for all the "normal" film-based episodes. Sounds like you've done this already - you can check with a little display of your completion ratio that pops up when you go into each episode's lobby.
b) Get all three bricks for the "extra" missions in each episode (i.e. Super Story, "get a million within 5 minutes with a walking character" and "get a million within 5 minutes with a flying ship"). 9 of these, 3 for each episode. Some of these are right ***stards to complete without Invincibility.
c) Complete the Bounty Hunter missions - go into a little alcove from the cantina with a picture of Jabba's head above it.
d) Buy all the characters available, including the ghosts.
e) Buy all the Extras available.

If you've got all 99 bricks, there should be a big fountain/uncapped oil well outside the cantina - this squirts out large amounts of money to buy anything you might not have bought already.
Then you can get 100%, and start playing all over again...:xmas:

I myself got it on PlayStation 2 and I agree with you GG, I think it's fabulous. I suppose it can be a little frustrating at times, but everything about it is just awesome. I haven't actually played the first one so I was a little confused about how to play it at first but I got the hang of it very quickly. I'm only up to ROTJ at the moment, so I'll have to keep playing to catch up with you T-bone! I'll also have to get it out the first one and play it to compare the two...
Anyway, overall, a very worthwhile game.

I got this game two days ago, and it is SO good!!!! But my video card on my computer makes it go a bit funny, but I don't care. The only thing I don't like on it is Battle of Hoth. . .even with Lily and I playing (and Lily's had the game for AGES and is really good) we took like 2 hours to complete that one chapter!

I was actually dissatisfied with this game. I felt like something was missing. Don't get me wrong, it has tons of stuff that the first doesn't. But I liked the first more.

Had to install a new Graphics card to get this one to work on our PC...and even so, some of the action is slow, probably processor speed..

Anyway, it's only been a couple of days...the only gripe I have is that you can't save progress in between chapters. We're only on the Jundland wastes to this point, and we can't seem to get through the whole chapter before we're out of time (trying limit screen time to the boys, and my self, to no more than 60 min a day)

We get through the sandcrawler, across the "quicksand" but that's about as far as our Luke, Ben, 3PO, and R2 team can get...

Are there good hint guides / websites out there somewhere?

Fun though, the boys love it, and I think it's pretty cool as well.

I'd agree with you on that one. It's not that either of them are better or worse but the whole thing does feel like it's missing a bit of depth. Without the SW license and the humor, it would have been a bit dull really.
