Noghri Vs. Mistryl

Shada, a Mistryl warrior from some planet, just jumped a Noghri warrior in the book Spector of the Past. As I read the next one, Vision of the Future, I notice that Zahn is suggesting that a Mistryl can fight a Noghri easily. Any thoughts on this?

'Easily'? No. But if they are caught by surprise (as these were) they can be defeated.

But like Shada states (Well...thinks) when the Noghri climb down behind her "maybe the Noghri reputation IS deserved."

She misconstrued the Nogrhi's grab to keep er from 'jumping' as a sign of weakness.

Seriously, you get your head rammed into a floor, you're gonna stop moving for a bit.

If I had to place bets on a Noghri v Mystril (from Emberlene BTW), I'd go with a Noghri.

Noghri all the way. Why?
1. Small... agile...
2. Mystril can't bite (well, they can, but it wouldn't hurt as much as a Noghri bite)
3. Noghri voices seem to just scream "deadly."

Noghri are defenitly the more deadly of the pair but the Mystrl are close behind.

Im not sure. I mean besides the Hand of Thrawn Trilogy we really dont have much background knowledge on the Mystrl and there fighting capabilities. Noghri are extremely good but I wouldn't bet against either of them. There both deadly.

We know that the YV are usually better than the Noghri, Im just wondering how a Mystrl would fare against one. Too bad we haven't seen Shada in any action during the series.

Maybe we should have a LOTR moment with 100,000 Noghri battle 100,000 Mistryl. Hey, now that would be cool...

Or a great battle with 100, 000 Vong versus 100,000 Noghri/Mistryl. That would be an incredible battle. It would be really cool if they had like Jedi leading companies of them into battle against the Vong.

It would be a good idea for the Galactic Alliance to recruit the help of the Mistryl and have them lead missions on enemy planets, unless you want Jedi to do it, but Jedi seem to have more importnat things to do at the moment (mainly leading fighter squadrons) or something.
Noghri would be good but there a little short and the Mistryl could disquise themselves as Vong better than the Noghri could.

Overall I think I favor Mistryl over Noghri, Shada beating the Noghri easily in the hand of thrawn duology is my main proof.
