When Leia says to Han, "I like nice men," does Han reply, "I'm nice men" (as if to throw her words back at her humorously) or does he say "I'm a nice man."

If heard people argue it both ways. I know the shooting script says "I'm a nice man" but I swear that Ford coyly replies, "I'm nice men."

Help?!

He mumbles "I'm a nice man." It just sort of sounds like "I'm nice men..."

I sure always thought that he said "I'm nice men." Tonight I'll need to check out what the subtitles on the DVD - and also what it says in the "Annotated Screenplays" book.

It's "I'm nice men." He was throwing her words back.

I think, according to the DVD, which I have played back six times now, thanks to this question, Han replies: I'm a nice man, which goes with the subtitles...It's not that clear though.

But this could go back and forth...

LOL

I know the printed dialogue was "I'm a nice man" but he could've improvised....or done a few takes saying it a bit differently. Kersh was known to do that with Ford and Fisher.

I don't care either way.....EXCEPT TO BE RIGHT...! :)

Either way if you saw either of those versions quoted as an anonymous movie quote, would you guess it was from Empire??

It's "I'm nice men"

although for years it sounded to me like "how nice men?"

I'm pretty sure in the original it was "I'm nice men." I supposed the SE could have changed it tho.

After extensive research into the DVD evidence, I have come to the undeniable conclusion that it could go either way.

I like to think of it "I'm nice men" it's kind of humurous when Han is coyly teasing Leia .

It is written as, "I'm a nice man." That said, I always thought it was, "I'm nice men." Hell, it simply sounds like he says that, and it certainly makes for a better exchange between the two.

''I'm a nice man''.

He'd be pretty stupid to say that he is many men at once...as far as I can tell there is only one Han Solo ;)

I've always thought it was "I'm a nice man."

It's "I'm nice men." Look at T'bone's signature. There's your proof right there. =p

Both the DVD subtitle and the Annotated Screenplay book says, "I'm a nice man" for that line.....but when you listen to it, it sure sounds alot like "I'm nice men." While it's true that "I'm nice men" is grammatically incorrect, that line seems more like something Han would say.

well, I guess it's "I'm a nice man" and it sounds weird only because he's mumbling it... <.<
