KOTOR: The rise of the Sith

Okay, i think ill do a Campaign where the players are the bad guys this time unlike my other KOTOR campaign where we play the good guys.

After the events of KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords the jedi eventually build the order up again but unknown to them is that Darth Traya secretly trained an apprentice in secret. This Sith Lord is known as Darth Mystis. His goal is to continue the assault on the Jedi and the Republic but with no Sith fleet and fellow Sith he sets out to gather enough followers to secretly plot against the Republic and the Jedi. Eventually he manages to seduce a few Jedi and Force adepts to the dark side aswell as gaining loyalty from a select few such as bounty hunters and crimelords.
To join this campaign just post a dark side character. Ill provide a template with my character for you to follow. Other than Darth Mystis there will be slots open for 5 other Sith Lords, one played by myself. For another character to become a Sith Lord if no slots are open, they must catch the eye of a Sith lord to be taken as an apprentice.

Background: From the world of Corellia, Darth Dementia went by the name of Andrak Raytar, a name Darth Dementia cant remember. Not much else is known about him other than he was in and out of asylums for being totally insane, as what Darth Mystis told him. It wasnt until Darth Mystis dived into the mind of Andrak and taught him the ways of the dark side which he used to free himself from the asylum and seek Darth Mystis out. Darth Mystis took him as his apprentice and named him Darth Dementia, which suited him as he was demented in everyway. When Darth Mystis felt that his apprentice was ready he gave him the task of seeking out followers which meant finding other Sith and Dark Jedi.

But he grew up with a very strong, offensive and deadly, unique saber style and he was a very deadly opponet to face in battle....

He appeared on Korriban amongst a Great Storm which was described as something of supernatural powers by witnesses that managed to survive, although it is unclear whether they were allowed to live where many had died…

Background: Darth Mortem use to go by the name Victor Emman, a prestigous Jedi Knight bordering Master status. When on a mission to Chandrilla he fell in love with the noble he was to protect. Knowing it was forbidden he grew madly in love with her. She did not love him in return. He grew madly jealous and when she ignored his love and started seeing a pompous noble he grew madly jealous. On the eve of their wedding, the seeds of jealousy ripened into Darth Mortem. He approached their rooms, building up with rage each step he took. The anger swelled to a maximum and opening the door to their private chambers mutilated their bodies with torrents of lightning, hearing their screams over the blast of the lightning. Watching their skin writhe entertained Mortem, and so with the last Jedi abilities he had he healed them, to do it again.
When the guards arrived it was too late for the noble couple, as a blue lightsaber mutilated their ranks. He went into hiding and for six years has been locating Sith holocrons, thought to be lost. When he had learned the information from them, he approached a Darth Mystis, pledging his services to him.

Favorite Force power: Affect mind/Force Crush
Background: A Jedi Knight, Raylon Jens is captivated by the history of the Sith, particulary those who were once Jedi. Since reaching Knighthood two years earlier, Raylon has secretly, and cautiously, dabbled in the Dark Side, seeking to increase his knowledge and awareness of the Force. In his research, he has become especially fascinated with the Force Crush power. His openness to both sides of the Force, a view not shared by his companions, has prompted him to keep mostly to himself and maintain a certain distance from his fellow Jedi.

Extremely well-trained in various martial art forms, Raylon has fashioned for himself "Force Gauntlets" and leg guards which utilize a lightsaber crystal and allow him to block and parry sabers with his hands and legs. Though he does carry a lightsaber, the gauntlets and leg guards allow him to fight in his preferred manner: hand-to-hand (or hand-to-saber) combat.

OOC: No, characters dont have to be Dark Jedi's to be adept in the Dark Side of the Force. So your Dark Side Adept doesnt have to be a Dark Jedi.

Background: Hurak is from the giant and indurstralized planet of Coruscant, Hurak Tarr is very interested in the history of the sith, in all his extra time he visits the Jedi Archives to learn about the Lost 20. As he learns more about their absolute power and how they feed off anger and hate, he is instantly interested. He sees that the sith are wiser and more powerful than the Jedi and he actually wants to leave the Jedi and join the Sith. He has already learned the dark side force power, force choke and is very adept in the force, making him a very powerful sith prospect.

Weapon: Tren's saber was almost completly inspired by Exar Kun's own, althougt he gave it more of an curved, noble and organic look. In otherwords, its a single curved, red lightsaber
Background: As many other Jedi before him, Tren was taken away from childbirth to be trained in to an Jedi. His training went far well and impressed the Jedi Counsel very much. During a later time Tren became part of the Jedi Counsel and took the grand of Master. He was very well respected through out the Counsel but was most know for his unique mastery in combining Form II: Makashi and Form IV: Ataru giving an fierce, defensive and quite unstoppable fightning form. As time pasted he his time as a Jedi he became very interested in Exar Kun and as he learned more and more, Tren became fascinated by the Dark side and eventually corrupted by it, aswell. Tren wanted now to achive further power through the dark side, althought he knew if the other Jedi find out about Tren's corruption, they would very likely kill him. Plotting and scheming, but his plans to overthrow the Counsel failed and was then casted out from the Counsel, leaving him to forever "Walk the path of Darkness" as the Dark/Fallen Jedi he hade become. Eventually Tren was seeking out an Sith Master to whom he could become an apprentice of, but he soon learned the death of Darth Malak and soon the disappearing of Darth Revan wich lead the Sith to destroy each other, leaving the Sith Empire shatterd. Tren remained as a Dark Jedi Master and keept searching for an Sith Master...

That would be interesting. And it might also be interesting if at some point we ended up splitting up. From a story perspective, it would probably make sense since the Dark Lord wouldn't want to risk losing all his Sith in one mission. And for us, it would probably by fun to be sent off in groups of two or three to wage separate campaigns against the Jedi. If one group got in trouble, another pair could come to the rescue. There might be some interesting possibilities in that.

good idea, i will be issuing tasks soon aswell, also responsibilities such as academy master (when the sith academy is up and running), fleet task force commander and also a sith council, an 8 member strong council will be eventually created.

I've had time today to post a lot since it's friday and the end of a relatively light week. But other days, it'll be harder since I'm in medical school. There's always something going on and it can get pretty crazy. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, so I'm going to hold off on joining the trials. But I do appreciate the offer.

Truth is, this stuff can be addicting and I'm afraid it'll keep me from the studying I should be doing if join too many things online. I could afford to today, since I do have the whole weekend ahead of me, but that's not always going to be the case.

Background: From the Twi'lek home of Ryloth, Kantella was the daughter of an aristocratic family who, like any other family of wealth and power, showed their daughter no love or compassion. Her siblings hated her for her ability to see things before they were going to happen and how she could not be defeated in fights with them. When Kantella saw in a vision that her brother and her sister would attempt to kill her for the inheritance of their parents who had died in an unexplained death, Kantella strangled her sister to death in her sleep and then rigged her brothers private yacht to explode when he entered the orbit of Ryloth. Kantella then inherited all her parents wealth and the title of Lady Hitsoj. A vision of a man who was assembling powerful people to his aid led Kantella to where a Sith was assembling. Twisted by her lifes events Kantella is bitter enough to spread the misery she had endured.

Ok, just letting you all know Darth Manticore comes from the time before the First Great Schism, which took place in 24,500 BBY. (http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/First_Great_Schism). But it still unclear of where and when he comes from, which i will reveal later on in the story but at the moment none of your characters knows of this, yet.

Clarkson i have an idea that you can find some holocron or some sith artefact that either meantions Darth Manticore or belongs to Manticore.

Dark Jedi were Jedi who chose to deny the light side of the Force and follow the dark side of the Force. Dark Jedi were not the same as Sith (though the original Dark Jedi were their predecessors), but some, such as Darth Vader, practiced both Dark Jedi and Sith techniques. While Jedi were capable of falling to the dark side, it was also possible for a Dark Jedi to be redeemed in the light, as Luke Skywalker helped Kam Solusar to do.

A Dark Jedi is not to be confused with an Sith. The Dark Jedi use the Force for their own ends while attempting to utilize other powers of the Force, owing no allegiance. Strength and abilities are unrounded and often unhoned, e.g. while a Dark Jedi can use Jedi and Sith Force arts, only a true Jedi or Sith can master the nuances. True Sith and Jedi must be ordained and approved by their respective masters in order to gain access to the true powers of their respective organizations.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to clarify on the issue of the regret or "remorse" that my character (Seeker) is dealing with. He's not regretting his actions or even that he's Sith, but he's conflicted about whether the Sith Order is being true to it's origins. I didn't want to get into all that in that one post, since it was long anyway, and was planning on elaborating in future posts.

Basically, Seeker's seeing the errors of the past being revisited in the present with the Sith warring among themselves. He sees Manticore as an enemy, and as such, is angered by the destruction of Coruscant. But then he's also aware that he and Manticore are both Sith, making the Jedi their enemies and the attack justified.

His regret is only that he's joined a group of Sith that might be headed down the wrong path (to self-destruction). I basically want my character following the beliefs laid down by Sidious in ROTS. In other words, the idea of embracing a fuller view of the Force, as well as seeking order and security for the galaxy. Seeker envisioned the Jedi of Coruscant, those that he knew, as joining a new Sith Order, helping to establish a new sense of order for the Republic, and ushering in a new view of the Force. Instead the planet is wiped out by a Sith who seems intent on destroying other Sith as well.

And so, Seeker's wondering if he should have remained "Raylon Jens" instead of joining a group of Sith who might only destroy themselves (and the galaxy) instead of bringing order.

But Seeker himself embraces the views Sidious conveyed in the movies. The jedi believe emotion is to be controlled/suppressed, that relationships are forbidden, that certain DS techniques are dangerous. Seeker believes the opposite: that there should be no boundaries for a force-user/Sith/Jedi.
