I'll do it anyway. Oxford is a town in Southwest Ohio. Miami University is a public university located in said town that is often called "The Harvard of the Midwest." The University of Miami (note the word order is reversed) is a larger university in Miami, Florida that is more concerned with athletics than academics.

Yes it does irritate me to no end when we are called Miami (Ohio) or "the other Miami." Miami University was founded in 1809, when Florida was still owned by Spain I might add. We were here first, Miami (Florida) should have to change.

My mum flew home a week ago tommorow. And as per the new policy had to take the padlocks off of her suitcase oooooooooh and LOOKY!!!!!!!!! she has items missing!!!!

Man I hope someone sues the government or the airport for lost items if this continues to happen. And then they can revise it. Unless your a terrorist I don't think anyone really has a problem with having their luggage searched, I mean its better to be safe than sorry, especially these days. But you also need your stuff to be secure.

My dad is a complete and utter a**hole!

During the course of my rents marrige he cheated on her 6 times.

When I was 18 he left her for nearly a year. I was trying to deal with my first year psychology exams, whilst having my mum bash down my door at 4 in the morning demanding to know where he lived.

I had to maintain a suicide watch to make sure she didn't try and top herself for the umpteenth time and then finally he comes back and they act like nothing happened.

Then two years ago my Dad does it again and gets with a girl about my age, and had a kid with her in March and they may be expecting baby no 2.

My dad left my mum to deal with the house and all the bills, he doesn't even pay his half of the mortgage which he is legally obligated to pay.

He hasn't given a flying crap bout me or my bro really since he left and all he seems to care about is his new kid!

When I told him I was getting married his response was cool, plan it and I'll turn up. When Rusty came over to get to know his in-laws my dad was hardly around coz he was too busy getting laid.

He took me getting married as an opportunity to leave, leaving me and my new hubby to deal with the breakdown he knew Mum would have when he left.

Most newlyweds have it tough and he made our newly married start ten times worse. Living with my mum in the state she was in was hell. I got interrogated everyday about whether or not I spoke to him. If I said I didn't she would accuse me of lying and we'd have a huge row. Moo left the States so we could spend some time with her to make sure she was alright. He left a good job and had to get out of the payment on his truck. All because my dad is a worthless s.o.b who can't be a man and do things the right way. So we end up having to clean up his mess and then come back to the States jobless and with little money coz all our savings went on immigration fees.

I hate him I hope he rots in hell, he gets struck impotent and his gf leaves him holding the kids who I hope grow up to be complete and utter brats! If I ever do see him it will only be to spit in his face and tell him what a worthless lying, cheating, pathetic, disgusting, moronic, jackass, piece of crap he is.!

Sorry I just heard I may get another half sibling I don't care about today and it kind of brought up some feelings and made me mad.

My mother just started taking hormone treatments for her cancer rather than chemo, but it is causing a side affect of her reumetoid arthritis to flare up in her back and arms and she is in agony. I had to help her in and out of the car and in and out of her chair at dinner. She's had pain from arthritis her whole life and I grew up seeing her be in pain from time to time, but now it is far worse than ever before. It sucks to see your mom in such pain when there is nothing you can do to help her. I hit a freaking bump pulling out slowly from the gas station and she cried out in pain, and cried for the next five minutes because the pain that came from the bump would not go away. Crap.
Everytime it looks like it is going to be alright with her condition over the last 3 months, a new bad turn knocks her upside the head. Now she chose to go to the chemo after all. But there are different forms of chemo, and the one her doc wants to put her on won't make her hair fall out or cause her the violent sickness chemo is known for. But still, when will the other shoe drop, the other blow come, the new crap hit the fan? Crap!

To all who asked further about my car accident, all is well. It snowed a couple of nights ago, and the temp was below freezing, so a sheet of ice formed on the road under the snow. Well, 2 people in front of me lost control, and in my attempt to avoid them, I lost control as well and crashed into one of them. Funny, others lost control that caused the accident, yet I get the ticket! GRRRRR!!!!!!!! Pretty sure I'll get out of it, though. Overall, no one was hurt, and the damage wasn't too severe. I can still drive my car, so that's good.

Yesterday did sucketh, I sat in the emergency room all friggin day waiting to see if they were going to admit my son. They had him on an IV for 6 hours, because he had keytones in his urine (in essence, a large amout of sugar) and was throwing up. But this time we caught it before it became ketoacidosis and they sent us home. He's diabetic and every time I let him out of my site something happens.
