Hey, I just got KOTOR 1 for the PC and I can't get it to play.
I installed it and everything and then opened it and it worked
then, but I had to exit it before I could play it because I had
to leave. Now whenever I try to launch it, the spaceship loading
picture appears and then my screen resolution goes to 800x600
and it just stays that way and doesn't do anything.
When I scanned my hardware it said I had the "Needed/Minimum" requirements
but two of the things were not the "Recommended" requirements.
Would that have anything to do with it?
I just don't understand why it seemed to be working after I loaded it
and now it is not working at all.
I've restarted my computer twice, I've tried the CD in different drives, I've
disabled my anti-virus protection software, I've checked to make sure it is
the "Play Disc" (Disc 1). I have done just about everything. But maybe
someone out there knows something else I can do.

The following picture is a screen shot of the details that appear when I
click "Scan Hardware". After it scans, a window appears that says "Game
Requirements Met". Then, when I click "Details" it shows this:

Problem solved! Although it cost some...
I had to disable the movies in "Configuration". So unfortunately I will
miss all the cinematic sequences. But oh well, I got it for the gameplay,
not the cinematics.
Thanks for helping out JediKaputski. It was nice to see that someone
cared style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Ah I remember that part, try using t3's stun ray on some of them so you won't have to face them all at the same time. Or you could use energy shields and attack with melee weapons. or if you have grenades throw one at the person in the center for maximum effect. Plz pm me if you have any more questions or this strategy dosn't work.
